You wonder if Sting is slapping his forehead hard enough to wear his face paint off at this point.

He needs to be released and frankly, away from wrestling for the long haul As much I dislike a lot of the WWE's recent roster moves, they were like, a trillion percent spot on with him. Pretty much this. I will say I can't blame Tony for the hire. He's a name that's very hard to turn down especially when you have his brother who likely vouched for him. Despite his issues, he's still a big draw but this is the same old story.

Just ridiculous, man. I absolutely sympathize with being an addict but this is why I was wary when WWE let him go and it seemed AEW wanted to pick him up. Ridiculous Jeff. Think of your child. Edit: After what has happened with Sunny, DUI’s should not be tolerated imo. They NEVER should be. That’s the senseless, tragedy it can ALWAYS lead to. And because it bears repeating, f*** Jimmy and f*** Jeff.

AEW probably needs to go ahead and let him go. I'm sure he's a wonderful dude, and honestly I even have sympathy for the guy. Coming from a family with addiction issues, sometimes.. sometimes you see someone struggling and you know they just don't quite have a grip on it (I know this might be a hot take, please just let me have my own opinion).
But AEW does not need the black mark of having the reputation that you can do shit like this and not worry about losing your job.

This is really going to be a big test for AEW to show that they can clamp down on stuff like this. He needs to be offered an immediate rehab-or-he's-fired ultimatum. If Matt is enabling him, same offer.

Dude clearly has more important issues in his life to deal with first before pro wrestling. Time for a sabbatical (on top of all the other kinds of help he needs).

I don't think AEW is enough of a sloppy shop to have a Victory Road moment. But don't tempt fate.

MJF no show, Punk injury and now this happening week by week. Khan is getting a sink or swim lesson in crisis management.
Offer rehab and fire him if/when he refuses. If there isn’t a fire in case of arrest clause in Jeff’s contract that is an easily foreseeable oversight on AEWs part.
Hardyz were probably going to win on Wednesday. Recent outings have shown they have months rather than years left as a regular team so the short tag title run they were sure to get had to start soon plus the Christian heel turn has been teed up for Wednesday.
With jail time a realistic prospect then they will surely be out of the match even if Khan bottles firing Jeff…probably…this is wrestling.
Maybe have team Taz and Lee/Swerve have the opening match with the winners getting a spot in the ladder match.

What a shame I don’t know what to say man I love Jeff hardy but I love him to much not to see him like that honestly he should just retire from wrestling for his health sake let him focus on his problems and addiction and be with his family.

AEW really, really should not have brought him into the fold. It was clear from his WWE exit he needed help before he went anywhere else.

He needs to be released and frankly, away from wrestling for the long haul I get it, but it’s like the old saying “Idle hands are the devil’s playthings”. Does taking him off the active wrestling roster only give him more free time to possibly act up and put other people in danger? We’ve just seen what happened with Sunny, where it just snowballed and snowballed until somebody innocent died. He is potentially putting other people in danger by getting into the ring with these issues. AEW needs to wash their hands of him. What happens after that is his responsibility, not theirs.

I'm not shocked. I'm not even disappointed by this point. It's Jeff, this is who he is.
He needs help and needs to not be enabled by so many around him. I hope he finally gets it this time. Hard not to be pessimistic, though.

I mean, look, acting like WWE had his best interest was false since he was still doing the same sort of matches, just on a more consistent basis and even with his history, the way they treated him going out basically briefly spat on their wellness policy, justified or not.
Here, like I and others said, Khan needs to take a stand. Send him to rehab or axe him. You could easily put Swerve in our Glory or Team Taz in the match instead and continue to push the angles involved with them with no real issue since the end goal is likely the same.
Like, it sucks for the people wanting to see the match but it's either that or be responsible for anything that happens afterwards.

Jeff's an addict, he's always going to have shitty moments. Adducts relapse it's what they do. That's neither here nor there. "What are you gonna do?" is not an appropriate response to this.

Yeah, this is disappointing to say the least, and AEW absolutely needs to act.
The Ladder Match needs an immediate pivot. Take them both out of it entirely, or like, give Matt Darby as a tag partner replacement in the triple threat. I don't think Jeff should be anywhere near a ring right now, and the optics of it would be awful.
Should Jeff lose his job? If he refuses help I don't know what he'd expect AEW to do there, so really, he doesn't have any wiggle room on this, but in the short term? Yeah, get him out of that ladder match, whether it's straight up or like, a backstage angle where he's taken out and again they give Matt an alternate in Darby or write them both out period.

Man’s got a family with young kids and still acts this damn dumb, ffs even Shawn Michaels realised his addictions were having an effect on his wife and, what was then only, his son and sought to not only get clean but find God
If someone doesn’t get hold of Jeff and slap some sense into him, I dread to think what will happen in the next year or two to him
