We all seen him do it in Impact wrestling. Did he do it as a face and the wrestler doing the move was a heel? Yes, I know heels traditionally don’t run to the top rope and jump onto their opponent that is in back of them. I just figured I would ask since bookers have a tendency to make faces look dumb at times.

He’d do both. I remember him doing it to babyface X Division guys on Fox Sports Net back in the day.

He did it to plenty of people as ROH Champion, too, where he was mostly babyface.

I really want him to do this to someone who is doing a double axe handle, then they just land in a standing position awkwardly, stare at him, and then Joe clotheslines them or something.

Did anyone anticipate Joe doing that, hitting him when he tried to casually walk away or something? Faking a top rope move, climbing off to hit him on the ground?

I vaguely remember Aries doing it to him. Can't remember whether it was in ROH or on an indy show. Basically Aries acted like he was going to jump off the top and hit a double sledge. Joe walked away and that allowed Aries to hit his missile dropkick from the top rope. Always loved that spot, those two had amazing chemistry.

This is something I wanted in the games. Make it a corner move like Rated RKO in SvR 2008.

Best spot in wrestling and sums up why Joe is that guy.

Regal used to do that spot in WCW back in 95/96.

That also seems like a spot fitting for Aries.

He needs to do this when Jay goes for that Handspring Cutter, I'd mark.

I've always enjoyed that spot from Samoa Joe. Especially since he made it look like a bad-ass thing to do with his little smirk.

Was definitely earlier than that but not exactly sure where it was.
