Now the question boils down to if that was his personal money or company money. If its company money, then he's likely gone. If its personal money no one (at least in the corporate sense) will care, even if the material in question was definitely not good. Wrong. If report is true he is gone regardless of where the money came from…WWE is a publicly traded company. It is a publicly traded company but Vince has total power. He cannot be forced out except under extraordinary circumstances. If he used company money to pay these women off that might do it. But if it was his cash and his only company money misuse was the promotion/raises he could probably skate through. Now if he stuck around and it caused the stock to tank he might step down so as not to affect his personal fortune. But since it seems the stockholders see him as the only one who can run the company to this degree of profitability they will most likely overlook as much misconduct as they can.

The only consequences I could see Vince getting hit with are the stock price plummeting. WWE's set up in such a way that its stock is completely powerless to anyone who isn't in his immediate family (which is absolutely goddamn absurd, but that's the system) so he isn't being gotten rid of and he can buy his way out of any sort of criminal charges.

Vince; “Write me MULTIPLE SEGMENTS for Smackdown tonight that will show them goddammit!” He appears in every segment, and also is on commentary.

I think people need to read the article, not just the headline, before commenting.

AYDMF! I don't know what those ladies looked like, nor do I care, dropping an average of 3 milly is just bad money management on top of being reprehensible since he's sexually assaulting his employees

Like, the consequences for him might not be substantial but at the same time, it’s not going to look great for any company associated with WWE to be themselves associated with someone who has paid a lot of hush money to people he has tried to have his way with.
It’s not going to be a massive hit if, say, Netflix or Crunchyroll drop their show ideas but it’ll hurt from a PR standing for WWE’s own intentions.

Just one thing to note for decency’s sake… The article notes a timeframe for the release of the former female wrestler alleged to have been involved in this, one that makes it unfairly easy to potentially identify who that may be. Unless they themselves give consent to be identified through a reliable and credible source, any discussion about speculating who they may be will be removed and posters may be subject to warnings by moderators.

I think people need to read the article, not just the headline, before commenting. I get the sentiment but having read the article beyond the paragraphs taken, I can say these look f***ing bad.

I loved it when Hardcore Holly fought Shane McMahon at WrestleMania X-7.

I can’t get into the article to read it but Thurston posted that one of the quotes is that he paid $7.5 million to a wrestler that he allegedly coerced into giving oral sex, and then “demoted” her, and ultimately didn’t renew her contract in 2005 when she turned down his advances.

He's a complete f***ing scumbag and I'm desperate to see him finally get what he deserves.
Shame on all those moron fans cheering for him as he shamelessly popped up on TV in the last month or so.

Shocking. I genuinely and sincerely thought that his Mr. McMahon character where he forced like dozens of women to make out with him in storylines for absolutely no reason was just a character. Can’t believe this. I need a few days to process.
