Shame if true as I am a Sasha fan & will miss having her around. But can’t really blame wwe if they think she isn’t worth the hassle anymore. Vince got bigger things on his mind it seems 😬

Forbes ran with the story, but again, it's not confirmed. I find it odd something that reputable would cover unverified gossip Has to be remembered, anyone can make an account and write an article for Forbes for the most part. Most of the time, it's not quite like actually writing for Forbes and more like writing for the New York Times' online opinion section with how open it can be.

I was thinking Raj wasn't allowed as a source on here. If she only had a couple months left anyways, it probably wasn't worth the hassle of keeping her around. You're thinking of Raj ah. That may or may not be who he was thinking of

Not to totally doxx myself, but I was a reporter for Forbes right as the contributor model started and that’s not totally true. They’ve made it harder to get in there, but there was always an application process and all that. You can’t just sign up and start writing. You need to have some actual expertise, been published elsewhere, etc.

I always heard it like it was more like you sign up and get a section as such away from the "actual" publication but hey, good to be clarified on that. Appreciate it.

It was definitely more of the Wild West before but they’ve integrated both contributors and staff in each section for a bit. Anyways, Alfred gets fed a lot of WWE stuff by the company so if he’s running with it I wouldn’t be shocked if it was legit. He’s not a great dude, but seems legit.

I will wait until a more reliable source confirms this. Raj Giri has gotten quite a few major stories wrong as well, and has put out some really disgusting "scoops" as well. His exclusive report that KOR had a seizure while wrestling a match in NXT springs to mind. And then you had him publish a "scoop" where he claimed the only reason Shida got a push in AEW is because she slept her way to the top. He refused to apologize or back down from that as well when he was proven wrong and called out. There was also him claiming Christian signed with WWE literally days before he showed up in AEW, and that WWE had given Andrade creative control in an attempt to get him to stay.

Sasha left to her own devices to do whatever she wants to in a wrestling ring? She’ll cripple herself before she’s 35.
But good for her I guess. I always thought of her that would get a reality check that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

For AEW's sake, I hope this isn't true. Because all the complaints about Britt Baker will be amplified re: Sasha if she goes there...

Totally different point, but since Sasha appearing on the Mandalorian, it's assumed she's bigger then wrestling and could walk away just like that, having a career in Hollywood. Mandalorian is her only credit per Wikipedia, so why the assumption she's pretty much destined for greater things? Only because she was called and offered that role If she decided she wanted to do acting, she probably could and I assume Rock would open some doors for her like he did Cena. A small role on Mandalorian isn't anything to scoff at, but I don't think people realize how difficult it is to get roles. Batista could barely get work when he left WWE, almost didn't get the tryout for Draw, and even after James Gunn liked him Gunn had to fight with Disney to let him keep Dave in the role. Cena had to do anything and everything to get bigger roles. Not saying Sasha couldn't do it, but I don't think she'd walk right out if WWE and start getting featured roles

He helped launch Cena up by getting him roles. She’s going to struggle of course if she does it alone. They all did. However, they have been able to open the door for her if she chooses to go that route because Rock helping her would made things a shit ton easier

Either way, at this point I think it's best for both sides for this to be true. I'm not Sasha's biggest fan for various reasons, but I don't think the headache is worth it for either side

If true man I'm wondering what her name will be. Sasha Banks just rolls off the tongue as a catchy name. One of the few times the WWE name machine worked. Also if AEW hires her theyre rolling the dice on her being a complaint away from bouncing as well.

I'm assuming it'll be something like that if she chooses to work indies or anything (if this is true).

Konuwa is literally a WWE shill that hopes that AEW dies, WWE feeds him info they want out there cause they know he'll say it.
