Pretty big bump.
Last week: WWE SmackDown did 1,914,000. WWE SmackDown pulled in a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demo

Hour 2 was actually higher than hour 1. So Vince helped but Roman is a huge draw and is still the hottest act in all of wrestling. When he's drawing numbers like that, I wouldn't take the title off him until Rumble season.

Yep as per usual. The scummier they get the better the ratings

Roman is big time. Goodness. That’s quite a bump for a title defense

Reminds me of how the single biggest ratings point during the entire Summer of Punk was Rey Mysterio winning the WWE Championship on Raw.
He really got screwed more than anyone that summer.

For comparison, the overnight only did 1.8 million last week. There’s usually a bump in the final ratings so this week’s looks like it’ll be over 2.3 million.
Reigns is a draw.

This is looking like the best Smackdown rating since March 20, 2020. The first no-crowd show and the last time tv ratings were somewhat normal.

Was it Vince or was it the fact Roman was on Smackdown for the first time in a while and defending the title. Plus the return of Brock.

Definitely not the return of Brock as that was the last 4-5 minutes and wasn’t advertised. The main draw to the beginning of the show was likely Vince but that was out of the way quickly. So I’d imagine the biggest draw was the Reigns-Riddle title match.

Roman is a DRAW, despite what his detractors say.

Roman is absolutely a draw, mad kudos to him but I also think/hope this reflects well on Riddle. A showing like that should keep him near top of the card.

When he's drawing numbers like that, I wouldn't take the title off him until Rumble season. Except he’s barely on the show. So it will not matter most weeks and you STILL have such a lack of star power when he isn’t there. It’s why signing him to a borderline part time deal NOW of all times is baffling?

Makes him a bigger deal when he does appear. Like this show.
