And the rest of the time, the shows feel utterly devoid of star power. Roman is not on Raw AT ALL!! Raw has no top champion basically.

This Roman booking is in some ways a double edged sword. By keeping him off TV a lot, it makes his rare appearances more special which can pop a rating. But it then makes the shows he doesn't work feel less meaningful and the show can drop off more when he isn't around. If he was around more often, the highs might be lowered but they could have a higher floor.

So are they going to drag out Johnny Ace this Friday? No need, they have Shotzi vs. Aliyah to draw a huge rating.

So is it safe to say the US belt has been elevated to the #1 belt on Raw? Given that Roman is never on RAW than yeah. Edit: At least from the Men's side.

So is it safe to say the US belt has been elevated to the #1 belt on Raw? The Women's title is the top belt on Raw. They've main evented almost every show for the past couple of months. Bianca/Becky/Asuka especially have been carrying the show. I actually don't think not having a men's world title has really hurt Raw much. If anything I think the past couple of months is the best Raw has been in quite a while. Becky/Asuka are always great together. The Rhea/Liv stuff was good. I was looking forward to Bianca/Rhea too before Rhea's injury. The Owens/Ezekiel/Elias saga. The Seth/Cody feud. Balor replacing Edge in Judgment Day. RK-Bro. Lashley getting really over as a face. Theory getting more confident every week. And you've got Cena returning next week. I think Raw is way better than Smackdown right now when this time last year it was the opposite.

Roman is the biggest star in the company, however the ratings boost seems to be because Roman did something he rarely does and that is defend his title on Smackdown and against the top male babyface as well. The ratings on avg are going down year to year, and Roman is still on tv more weeks then not.
Roman doing something interesting or new=good for ratings Roman/Uso's/Heyman cutting the same promo for the 500th time=can't beat a midcard AEW female(Bunny) head to head in the demo.

Not really much drop if any year over year. Smackdown June 2021 average: 1.97 million Smackdown June 2022 average: 2.08 million Smackdown May 2021 average: 2.01 million Smackdown May 2022 average: 1.95 million Smackdown April 2021 average: 2.13 million Smackdown April 2022 average: 2.13 million

That was a totally normal situation where the Bunny won in the demos. There’s nothing more to that story whatsoever.

www.ewrestlingnews.com/news/wwe-smackdown-aew-rampage-ratings-adjusted-due-to-nielsen-error“The ratings for last week’s episodes of both WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage have been adjusted due to a Nielsen ratings error. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that Nielsen had to re-issue their data for last week due to failure to account for out-of-home viewing. The adjusted WWE SmackDown score brought in a 0.62 rating in the key 18 – 49 demographic and 2.389 million viewers, which is an 8.8% and 4.3% increase from the originally-released 0.57 demo and 2.29 million viewers.”
