Just watched this on Tubi. Pretty interesting film with some really creepy body horror images. That said, it's definitely "of its time" (the whole plot involves cable tv, vhs tapes, and pirate tv transmissions, all of which are either dead or dying). Thoughts?

I mean it's David Cronenberg, so you know there will be some body gore in it.
I'd say it's his best flick until The Fly. I enjoy a lot of his stuff though. That said, I need to rewatch this.
The thing I remember most is the lousy film poster that had a rather misleading caption on it.

One of my favorite films. It was always a movie that seems to come on TV at the perfect time.

It is sampled in a Front 242 song.

I suggest anyone who hasn't see it just drop everything and watch it now.

Loved the effects especially near the end

Love this movie. It’s campy enough for me to laugh at but much of it is legit creepy.

This was DC's best film until History of Violence.
Really wish the cable tv edit would get a nice release. There is a pile of footage in that cut that isn't in any other version.

It's been years since I watched it last, but I remember it well. Enjoyable movie. Debbie Harry was a great casting choice for the role of Nicki Brand, being just the right mix of alluring and creepy.

Great movie. Saw it again not long ago and it's held up exceptionally well.

The thing I remember most is the lousy film poster that had a rather misleading caption on it. I don't understand... could you explain please? "First it controlled her mind, then it destroyed her body" It tried to paint Debby Harry as the lead, but she is hardly in the movie.

I only remember the poster with Woods trying to walk out of the TV screen, I don't recall ever seeing a poster with her. I haven't seen the movie since it came out on video, and I was young and dumb and not sober and remember very little of it.
