I freely admit I don't have the time to watch BTE or Elevation/Dark, so maybe there's been some kayfabe explanation of this that I've missed.
Taz and Team Taz = heels.
Hook = babyface since forming HOOKHAUSEN.
So is it just one of those things where Taz is gonna let his boy do whatever he wants? Why don't Starks and Hobbs get pissed off that the nasty killer who's choking fools out isn't there to be their ringer anymore? Or is Taz just something of a tweener now, himself?

Taz has stressed in the past that everyone on Team Taz is their own man, and make their own choices, he respects their independence.

I actually like that in AEW stables can have multiple alignments in them. I didn't at first but I do now

You can't control him anymore, dad!

He's still Taz's son and he never turned against his dad. But I don't think he's come out with Hobbs and Starks since he started wrestling.

Hook is Taz's son so he gets leeway and Hobbs/Starks are too scared to confront him about it.

Taz has stressed in the past that everyone on Team Taz is their own man, and make their own choices, he respects their independence. Except Brian Cage.
