I already sense that Roman Reigns will break the two-year record as Universal champion. My friend told me that he might lose the title to Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle, which will be in early September. Some have speculated that he might hold it until Wrestlemania next year, because they want to have The Rock face him. Even if that match does happen, it doesn't need the title on the line.
What do you think?

I think he temporarily drops the title to Drew at Clash and then wins it back at the Rumble and either drop it to Cody at mania or retain against the rock and drop it to Cody at Summerslam or mania 40

I think the fact that every time this thread shows up the joke answers are so much louder and the distinct sense of "Yeah no it's totally this guy, this guy is clearly being positioned for a big break" is less and less, says a lot about the nature of this run.

Nobody. He'll just go on making the entire roster look like a joke forever before retiring with the belt without putting anyone over.
Only half kidding

I feel pretty confident they're setting up Cody as the guy to take the belts, it's just a matter of when. I suspect it'll be Cody/Roman at Mania next year at this rate.

I'll make a bold prediction and say it's either Cody/Roman at the Rumble and that'll be where he loses or he comes back early and Roman loses it at the end of the year to Cody. There's zero chance they're picking Roman/Cody over Roman/Rock for WrestleMania next year.

I'm going to make another bold claim and say that when you tease such a match on your hit NBC sitcom based on your life, it's about as locked as it can be.

I tend to think there's a lot that can happen between a cute wink and nod moment on an NBC show and Mania. That said, if it does end up being Rock/Roman, then Seth's stealing the WWE title at SummerSlam, and Cody/Seth's your main event on Night 1 of Mania 39.

Oh of course, but considering past history and with how his agents were understandably hesitant after previous matches, nothing like that would have been approached if at the very least a deal wasn't on the table to do it. Like, if there wasn't a shot, WrestleMania wouldn't be in Hollywood next year. Flat out.

Rock delayed filming on (iirc) Hercules because he needed surgery from his last match that went longer than 6 seconds. Insurance etc went nuts. I'm not convinced he'll be allowed, a decade later, to go wrestle, when he has at least five major movies due to film in the next year and a half. I'm sure he loves the idea of the match, but the feasibility is another matter.

Oh, I can agree with that and would have said no before they announced WrestleMania being in Hollywood but, like, there feels like way too much smoke with this without some kind of fire. A lot of the concerns could be countered if they, say, have studio parties during WrestleMania week with WWE stars and The Rock there to promote, say, Red Notice 2 or whatever else he has.

Riddle and Seth.
Drew will take the WWE Title at Clash and lose it to Seth at Day 1 or the Rumble. Cody then wins the Rumble to take it from Seth at WM.
Riddle wins MITB and takes the Universal Title from Roman at SummerSlam. Orton will return to cost Riddle the title a few months later so they can feud going into WM.

I kind of love the idea of your top 3 matches at Mania being: Roman vs. Rock Orton (c) vs. Riddle (Rumble Winner) for the Universal Title Cody vs. Seth for the WWE Title That at least gets some new faces into the title picture.
