Yeah, I give a lot of stick to WWE but them reaching out to include them (and honestly, it'd be weird doing a Cena tribute without Big Show involved, likely more so than even Jericho or Danielson) and even letting AJ Styles do the speech at Slammiversary at least shows that this stuff can be worked out and acknowledging how important these people are to wrestling history. Good stuff.

Right. I have no dillusions that everyone is going to work together in some kind of sunshine and rainbows utopia going forward, but it's cool to see this kind of thing as a fan. Never would have happened 25 years ago.

Probably the same thing he got from Jericho going on Steve Austin's show; a counter to the image of Vince at shareholder's meetings saying how AEW is like WCW and wants to crush them. Bischoff sure as f*** wouldn't have let any WCW guys on a WWF show to do a tribute of any kind so the fact Tony Khan is open and accepting to that gives a better image than WWE's old isolation attitude to things.

EDIT: I realized the exception would be the Brian Pillman shows but those weren't really WWF shows as much as multi-company shows so I don't know if I'd count it the same way.

Maybe WWE is finally starting to get the stick out their ass and learning to play nice with others. As much as I have no interest in forbidden door stuff, they at least have a little appeal in still having guys make some type of appearance on other shows even if it is just for a cameo

This is a good thing.

WWE and AEW working together will benefit the industry as a whole.

Imagine instead of seeing each other as competition, they worked together to lift each other up and give the fans the best possible products.

I still have hope that after Vince goes, HHH will work out a partnership with AEW and give us what the Invasion should've been.

And it just plain builds goodwill in the company to accept this stuff. They don't even need to do grand shows or even do a Mickie James at the Rumble again (and you'd hope the roster would be fuller come next year to avoid that) but it's also not far for WWE to accept even internally that Lashley, McIntyre, Rhodes and others wouldn't be the stars they are now without Impact and AEW. W. Morrissey going back, if rumors are to be believed, would basically add to that.
