A long article about multiple other children fathered by Rocky, who he wouldn't acknowledge. His brother Ricky, their uncle has gotten together with them all over the last few years. The story is not centered around the famous sibling other than Rocky acknowledged only Dwayne but never the others and refused to speak with them. www.si.com/wrestling/2022/06/30/rocky-johnson-the-rock-daily-cover

Damn, Rock has a lot of houses/cars to buy now. I was thinking he may some how get involved and get them something. They aren't specifically trying to reach out to him but I think it would be real good for him to do so.

I think I know why Dwayne had such a strained relationship with his dad now

The more that comes out about Rocky Johnson, the more he seems like a total sleaze.

Do they acknowledge Roman as the Head of the Table or are they distant relatives?

Rocky Johnson was a big star and probably could have been even bigger, but substance abuse and some serious character flaws probably hampered him from reaching higher planes.

Rocky Johnson was a rapist piece of shit, apparently a pedophile too; his brother seems like a fairly decent person though (without doing any research beyond what the article outlines)

The more that comes out about Rocky Johnson, the more he seems like a total sleaze. It’s sad, but you can probably insert most famous 1980’s wrestlers into that sentence and it would be just as true.

The fact that the Soulman didn’t land much of anywhere after the WWF is pretty telling that he was up to some serious shenanigans.

The more that comes out about Rocky Johnson, the more he seems like a total sleaze. He was touchy feely with a female fan I know. The hints were there. Kinda makes the glorifying/apologizing for him on Young Rock a bit...awkward. Then again, most if not all the "special guests" having to do with wrestling have been put in a positive light on that show.

I remember in a shoot that Tony Atlas said that Rocky Johnson once sold some other wrestler a dead horse.

As others here have mentioned a lot has come out about Rocky the last several years and not one word of it is any good.
I only watched the first few episodes of Young Rock and even there they don't paint a very flattering picture of Rocky. And kudos to them for not sugar coating the kind of person Rocky really was. But as with most former wrestlers that Vince still holds in high regard, WWE only praises these terrible people like Snuka, Rocky and Moolah, so the average fan that knows nothing but WWE's rhetoric still celebrate and praise them.

It's amazing that nothing like this has come out for Bret after everything he admitted in his book. Dude must have been the excellence of executing protection.

Only in season 2 (yep I watched both) do they start showing that Rocky had issues. But it's still sugar coated...I mean, it IS a family sitcom, so I guess it has to be. Like I said, Dwayne either praises or apologizes for his father on the show. Does he really feel that way? Or is it just Young Rock Dwayne for the show? Who can say? I know I had complicated feelings about my own father, but also regret that he's gone. The show also goes easy on wrestling personalities in general. You also won't see, say, Randy locking Liz in closets on the show, or Iron Sheik getting high, and such. Oddly enough, Moolah WAS depicted on the S2 finale, which caught me by surprise as even WWE "cancelled" her after the battle royal thing 4 years ago. Think she gets Benoit descriptions on the Network now, IIRC. (and I won't get into the polarized opinions about her guilt or innocence) In the same vein, Snuka is the only person who WWE removed from the HOF, yes? And as I've said, A LOT, it's not just WWE, as pretty much 99% of all wrestlers have their skeletons, yet most are still honored, WWE and otherwise. Why are we still surprised? And now I am wondering...was any wrestler banned from being depicted on YR? (Probably Benoit)

Man Rocky sounds like an ass,a real shame as i always found him likeable whenever he was on tv. Its nice to know though as bad as he may and Snuka have been, The Rock and Tamina have both turned out to be extremely good and decent people that many can easily see as role models.
