Ftr is the roh tag team champions
It reminds me of when the Dudley boys became wcw champions. Or when the Rock and kurt angle became wcw champion
Or rvd the ecw champion Christian cage is ecw champion
Just feels weird that AEW owns this brand and these AEW guys have the roh titles and there’s no roh tv or an officially roh roster. It’s just an roh brand, and not a company

Yes? AEW themselves recognizes them so why wouldn't they be recognized by the people?

Don't see why not, same for acknowledging the WCW and ECW title reigns in WWE. It's the owner of the property carrying on the legacy of the belts, why should their stuff not be considered official? Especially since ROH has gone through multiple owners before this anyway?

It's hard to count the WCW reigns less because they're illegitimate or whatever, and more because WWF's WCW ended so soon after the original WCW that the belts' lineages after the shutdown feel more like a post-note than a proper era.
ROH, on the other hand, will only exist in the future under new management. Unless ROH can't get a deal and all of the belts are unceremoniously retired, it'll be hard to see them the same way - right now the belts are just being kept warm and on TV until such time as a new ROH show starts up.

Yes? AEW themselves recognizes them so why wouldn't they be recognized by the people? It’s a fair thing to ask since there’s been no ROH platforms since they’ve won the titles. They’re ROH champs on AEW tv like how Rock was WCW champ in WWF.

They’re ROH champs on AEW tv like how Rock was WCW champ in WWF. Feels like it now but they're getting on TV in the future here. So I'm sure once they're on their own again things will feel more natural.

It’s an aggressive expansion plan which worked well for other companies in the 80s. As others state, they are keeping the belts on tv to keep them relevant and Tony Khan has stated that his original idea for Claudio was to have him wrestle in ROH. If he was the first to win the title I’m sure the promotion could easily fill a roster with mid cards and jobbers who AEW have no immediate plans for(into which they have a great many)with out issue. I think it’s time to pull the FTW title from AEW screen though as that no longer makes sense since they have 2 mid card titles and a world title on screen that are all AEW branded.
If AEW and ROH run two different rosters then it will work as a different brand with the same old ROH rules. If they try to rebrand it like WWE did when they bought out ECW and WCW then it’s doomed to fail. I don’t disagree with FTR holding as much gold as they are They are over enough that the fans are behind their current run of success

ROH has Death Before Dishonor later this month.
It's not like McMahon buying WCW where after a week, he used the name and titles as a victory lap over his fallen rivals. There's plans to make ROH its own thing. Just that it's going to take time, especially when their chief media partner just went through a huge merger.

I guess but I need to see where they are going with it and I will give them the time to see how they spin it off. otherwise it just becomes a glut of titles clogging up the scene.

I do as they were won either on the last ROH PPV, or in the case of Samoan Joe, it was won in a very ROH like situation (Bobby Cruise introductions, I forget which but Ian Riccaboni or Caprice Coleman was on commentary and Minoru Suzuki won it at the last PPV). It’s not like it was won on Dynamite in a throw away match like the WCW titles were on Raw/Smackdown.
