On one hand it sounds like a valid complaint that Seth should have listened to, on the other it's amazing how even in his own recounting of the story Road Dogg comes off as an egotistical prick.

Yeah... doing the mosh pit thing into a regular forearm does seem like a bit of anti-climax.... but Road Dogg being all don't you know who I am?! in response... is just f***ing ridiculous.

Also it makes me think that Road Dogg didn't like politely tell him that he thought it could be better... and more that he said something like it looked like shit and he should do something better.

It's funny you mention that because I'm listening to Moxley's audio book right now and whilst he doesn't mention any stories, he does talk about how they were both the problem children of developmental sometimes because of the feeling of directionless and being impatient about it, which in turn got turned into them having "attitude problems".

Yeah, Seth's talked a few times about how he was sure he was going to be released from developmental over it. Pretty sure he went into it a little bit on Broken Skull Sessions, but don't quote me, it's been awhile since I've watched it.

It's no secret that when it comes to WWE it's very go along to get along. Even if you don't agree with what management is suggesting and are really in the right it's best to just go along with because you'll just end up getting buried and possibly released.

I remember listening to an interview with a writer who was a big backer of Drew McIntyre during his first run and any time he would suggest doing something with him he would get scoffed at as the agents found him to be "difficult" because he wouldn't always agree with what the agents wanted and would suggest alternative ideas. When the writer asked McIntyre about it he just told him he thought his ideas were better and thought that they would be best for his match. The writer believed him but then told him management was burying him and didn't like him so that he should stop doing that. Drew adjusted accordingly with Road Dogg then coming up to the writer and saying something along the lines of "I have to give to your boy Drew. He's finally figuring it out".

Even though I agree with Road Dogg's criticism in this specific instance at the same time it's also hypocritical of too considering his big spot he would do was following up a dance with a simple punch.

Road Dogg's only notable offence:

Three punches, followed by a little dance, then a forearm.

Hit the ropes, followed by a little dance, then a kneedrop.

Grab a guy, followed by a buggering, then a pump handle slam.

His whole offence was anticlimactic, particularly after following his entrance. The only part of his schtick that was actually over.

I do get the need to give criticism, but talk about being an up-his-own-ass hypocrite.

Yeah, WWF/E history is riddled with performers adding a bit-o-stank to their offense.

I've never been a fan of it personally, usually because it crushes the suspension of disbelief, in my opinion, but performers use it as a way to get their characters over. Hogan, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Austin, Cena, Road Dogg, the list goes on of wrestlers adding flair to an otherwise basic move, and popping the crowd.

Why do I get the feeling that Road Dogg is not very good at his job🤔
