Wrestlemania 35 should have been Ronda v Becky with a decisive win for Becky. It was the main event of the biggest show of the year, the most popular star in the company and a heel who was going away (in the end for 3 whole years). There was no reason to protect Ronda with a fluke roll-up finish. And Charlotte should've never been in the match to begin with. I've never went from such excitement for a match to disappointment so quickly as that week or two period between Becky confronting Ronda the night after the Rumble and then Charlotte being added to the match.
Story goes Ronda was willing to put Becky over clean (by submission no less) but the company turned it down. I think they wanted to keep their options open in case Ronda came back sooner then expected. "You beat me but my shoulders were up! I want revenge" all that jazz.

Well that would be 2 years in a row the women's title match at Wrestlemania didn't go the way the champ requested because a year later apparently Becky wanted to lose to Shayna but the company said no. I would say that was a blessing in disguise though. Shayna wasn't over and the MITB/pregnancy announcement segment with Asuka was a lot more memorable way to go out.

Shoutouts to when Scott Steiner was trying to save Stacy Keibler from Test's abuse and it somehow ended with Steiner becoming best friends with Test over a mutual interest in abusing Stacy Keibler.

One time Austin came out to save her when Test and Steiner were abusing her. Then he stunned her when she didn't want to drink a beer with him. And everyone cheered.

It turning out to be Mysterio’s mask in that burlap sack, segueing into a Kane/Mysterio program that literally none of you remembered until this post. I remember... but only because it was implied that Kane was torturing Rey for weeks until the match... where Rey came out dressed as like the silver surfer and was bouncing around and acting like his usual self >_>

Kofi's Championship reign ending like it did. One of the biggest f*** yous to the fans and a talent and that's saying something. One of the biggest. A complete erasure of the feel-good moment that was him winning at Wrestlemania six months prior. You could've had Kofi go down swinging in a 6-8 minute sprint, throwing everything he had against Lesnar. But, no. 2 second squash. Brock wins. And all that to usher in Cain f***ing Velasquez. Haven't bothered to watch a full episode of SmackDown (or RAW) since. Also, since it hasn't been mentioned. Booker T-HHH in 2003 is another all-timer. 'Hey, Book. You and people like you (errr, I meant lower-class people not like black people, honest! /s) are inferior to me in every way. Now watch me go out and prove it by taking three hours to pin you!"

Except Ronda was coming apart at the seams and they added Charlotte to keep the match smooth and make Becky moment even bigger Sure people can be iffy about the finish but that whole storyline was to put Becky on the level she is now Ronda had a decent PPV match with Nia Jax. In fact all of her PPV matches in the year she was there were pretty good. Her and Becky could have easily worked a fine 15 minute match. No one was expecting Okada/Omega. Adding Charlotte to the match didn't make it bigger. It diluted it. There was far more hype and excitement behind Becky v Ronda. The example I always use is if Triple H or Kurt Angle were added to Rock v Austin at X7. Would it have detracted match quality wise? Probably not. Could you have made it make sense, storyline wise? Sure, HHH and Angle had been feuding with Rock and Austin on and off for a year so they all had history. It still wouldn't have been the smart thing to do. The real money was in the 1 on 1 match like it is 99% of the time. Ronda mentally was coming apart at the seams The match would be fine between those two but her attitude soured hard once the fans really turned against her and Becky was unleashing hell on the mic on her.

Bossman and Akeem. I know Akeem was pretty much presented as a comedy jobber by Wrestlemania VI but he was such a big guy he shouldn't have been easily manhandled. WWF was trying to make a Bossman/Dibiase feud and WWF didn't even have a payoff for that feud.

Over your years watching Wrestling are there any storylines where the payoff really angered you?big or small. Mine will always be Rikishi as the man who ran over Austin.i thought it was such a good build and story at the time and for it to be revealed as Rikishi was such an anticlimax to say the least. Another one that still annoys me is the Owen Hart v Sean Michaels after the screwjob.that could have been such a good programme and really could have put Owen in a top spot but it fizzled after the first ppv and that was that 1) I thought Rikishi was a good reveal. Came from left field. execution after that stunk. 2) Just bad timing for Owen. Screwjob or not, nothing was going to deter them from Michaels/Austin at mania. It was his time for sure.

I also thought the Rikishi driver reveal was awful. He had been over for one full year, like the one time in his career he had been really popular after so many gimmick changes and they destroyed it.
He may have been on TV pre Survivor Series but he sure wasn't with Too Cool on TV at the time so him being with them backstage made no sense. I wish Austin had cared enough to stop this stupid storyline as much as he did to walk out with the Brock Lesnar proposed loss.
