Going more serialized I definitely think is for the better. I rewatched some of the original show recently and it's still pretty good but at least the start of the show (didn't go super far in, need to get back to it) does feel rather aged with its pretty slight, fairly stock plots and the limited runtime of the segments, it doesn't feel like it has a super huge amount of depth to it in the early-going stages. Plus it'd just help it stand out more when this franchise has really always struggled with trying to recapture the show at its high point which didn't actually last very long. Even the original show is kind of just at its peak at seasons 1 through 4 and really collapses after that and it's not a very long show with a ton of episodes. You remove seasons 5 and 6 and that's just 49 episodes at its peak. Curious and not judging: do you count the movie in peak or post peak?

I've really only seen the movie one time and it's been years ago, so unlike a lot of the episodes it doesn't really stick with me super well, but I'm kind of more inclined to consider it post.

Eh slightly disappointed that the Foster's reboot is going the preschool series route, but on the other hand if it works for the target demographic and becomes a bonified hit and marketing machine like a lot of series of it's ilk than really it could mean more money and jobs in an industry that really could use a boost right about now and that's a good thing.

I mean, right across his dinner table is the woman who was at the forefront of putting My Little Pony back on the map. There’d be some ideas being bounced back and forth on how to take a similar approach to Foster’s.

At least Foster's won't go the edgy young adult route or go this way: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}
