McCracken did take a picture of him outside of Cartoon Network Studios recently so I guess this was the outcome of those meetings.

How many versions of PPG are going to exits, 10? As many as Scooby-Doo.

How many versions of PPG are going to exits, 10? As of now we have The WhoopAss Girls (the original pilot concept) The OG series Powerpuff Girls Z The 10th Anniversary Special Dance Pantsed (the one with the weird pointy design) The 2016 Series Powerpuff (live action show still in development hell) The new Craig McCracken Series Multiple comic book adaptations and other little things So yeah just about.

Man, I was thinking just the other day, wondering what McCracken was up to, knowing a guy like him probably doesn't stay inactive long at all and just that animation stuff takes a while before we tend to hear about it. Guess he had more going on than I could have expected.
The live action was probably going to be real bad, but I feel for Dove Cameron in that she seemed really into playing Bubbles.

I'd like to think McCracken coming back is a repeat of how studios talked JMS into coming back for Real Ghostbusters

Not that it will take much, but this already sounds better than that cursed CW live action show.

With Craig back in the fold, let's just hope it'll be better than the 2016 Reboot.
I also get the feeling with all the controversies Tara Strong has been in, she probably won't be invited back for the reunion.

I just googled this and... yyyeaahh unless there's something that for some reason didn't come up on the first or second page, I'm pretty sure she'll absolutely be invited back if they're using any of the old cast at all. She works a lot. Anyway, screw PPG anyway, I'm all about the Fosters news, myself. That show was the best thing McCracken's ever done, in my opinion.

Yeah, dude, can you be more specific about what controversies the most prolific female English-speaking voice actress in the world has had?

I guess the only major ones I recount were Tara throwing shade at 2016-Bubbles' VA, shilling NFTs (and wanted to make a film with them or something) and apparently engaging in acephobia.

This is great news, more so for the return of Foster's as that was one of my favorite cartoons from back in the day and showed that with the right creative mindset even the most seemingly juvenile concepts can work for a broader audience.
The only downside is that either reboot will most certainly be without Tom Kane (due to his recent retirement.)
I mean they can get someone else to play Prof. Utonium or Mr. Herriman, but it just won't be the same with out Tom's cadence. (Although if they do decide to replace the voice of the latter they should go with the Warner/Discovery corporate synergy approach and get William Regal for the job. Good old Bloo will certainly never misbehave again if the BCC get involved.)

According to Craig's twitter chains, the Powerpuff series will be largely more serialized and tell a bigger story about the universe

That's what he did with his previous series: Kid Cosmic on Netflix and that turned out fine so I have a pretty good feeling about this creative direction.

Going more serialized I definitely think is for the better. I rewatched some of the original show recently and it's still pretty good but at least the start of the show (didn't go super far in, need to get back to it) does feel rather aged with its pretty slight, fairly stock plots and the limited runtime of the segments, it doesn't feel like it has a super huge amount of depth to it in the early-going stages.
Plus it'd just help it stand out more when this franchise has really always struggled with trying to recapture the show at its high point which didn't actually last very long. Even the original show is kind of just at its peak at seasons 1 through 4 and really collapses after that and it's not a very long show with a ton of episodes. You remove seasons 5 and 6 and that's just 49 episodes at its peak.
