She won the MITB match which plenty of folks have done (including low to midcarders) and then won the title (which is by far the most likely outcome for MITB winners). What was so miraculous about it?

As a massive Liv fan, that is a dreadful nickname.

Alvarez was ranting about it, it makes her seem like a geek that it's so unbelievable she's champion. It's wrestling, you (the booker) get to dictate the story, you should never book your babyface champ as being unworthy of the title. You can do that with a heel, but dear god WWE is so f***ing bad when it comes to their babyfaces.

I think it is both a stupid Nickname but also one that carries some unfortunate negativenes when it comes to Liv.
She is the miracle kid why? because she beat a bum legged ronda? so what it sounds like to me is they are saying it is a miracle she won...as in she would have no chance otherwise and this only becomes a bigger thing as commentary has even talked about Liv only beating Ronda because she had a bum ass leg.
If they have Liv beat Ronda clean as a sheet at summerslam then the nickname actually becomes something proper and not IMO as way to say she just got lucky.
Spoilers Liv aint beating Ronda especially in any non f***ery scenario.

Let's not forget the original Miracle Kid was Nikki A.S.H.
Not sure which reign is going to be worse.

Now they could have some kind of interference or have Ronda injured going in again but if it's a kayfabe 50/50 match and they're both healthy how do you book Liv to win in a believable fashion? I have a hard time believing that the Oblivion can put down Tamina or Dana so I definitely don't think any top star would be pinned with it. It's not her fault she's the size she is but it's the same thing as like Alexa or Zelina were their offence just doesn't look strong enough at a main event level. She could definitely do with a new finisher. Maybe something from the top rope.

All the stars in this galaxy were aligned just for her that particular night, that's why. ✨

Its all lies. It wasn't a miracle, she's not a kid and since when is she a "the?".

Didn't she have some tragedy with her dad as a baby?
Just grasping, but maybe they are referring to that.

When it comes to something like this I always use Io Shirai as my personal example who is shorter than Liv Morgan (by an inch but stll) but whose offense if you put her in with Ronda would could more than believably not just lead to her holding her own but beating her clean. In order for Liv to believably beat her clean and for everyone to buy into it , not only would Liv have to gain more impactful offence (she tends to really like spamming dropkicks lol) but book the match where Liv captlalizes on Rondas mistakes aka Ronnie slips on a banana peel scenario...I know that might discredit her a bit in some eyes but right now it is kind of the only way it can happen at this stage with how both women are booked with both going into the match with no asterisk.

As a Liv fan for years, it feels like a miracle that she's champ.

I agree that it's more about making your offense look more believable. I don't think her size is really that much of an issue. She's definitely small but she's not dreadfully small like Alexa and especially Zelina where it's really not going to matter what they do. Even compared to women like say Carmella and Becky atm while shorter it's only maybe two to three inches and she's I would say also thicker and more powerfully built then those two. If anything I think her size is almost perfect for an underdog face. Billed height of 5'3" with a thin build but thick legs. Smaller then the majority of the roster but not too small where it comes like she shouldn't even be in there either. I think a lot of Liv's problem might be just a lack of physical strength. In her entire career I don't think I've ever seen her do a move that requires lifting someone once. Like she's never going to be a power wrestler nor should she but I think could at least incorporate some power moves here and there like some suplex type moves especially she's in there with some who isn't very big either. Her offense is TOO finesse and while that's a good way to get around the believability issue against bigger and stronger opponents at the same time none of it looks like it hurts or is too damaging. I don't get why she dropped the Rings of Saturn that she was doing during the Becky feud. It looks good and is something she can do anyone. Only problem with that though is at main event level they aren't going to want their big stars "looking weak" by tapping. Like there's no way Ronda would tap out and to be honest with her background she really shouldn't. No way they would have Bianca tap. I have a hard time seeing even Charlotte or Becky jobbing to her like that. Probably the biggest stars she could beat with it would be Bayley and Sasha.

Liv should go train with Io and start looking at Joshi matches to improve her offense because like you sad it is no so much her size but overall offence is just not good especially being the champion now. Like I brought it up earlier since she likes to spam dropkicks she should look at Starlight Kids offense. She will never be her of course , but Liv could if she moved a whole lot faster use a similar offense and it would fit her perfectly. And again to repeat she should go train with Io since Io is pretty much aces in everything...from Joshi to actual lucha libre and are of similar size.

It’s an even dumber nickname if she loses at the PPV.
WWE both doesn’t know any other way to book babyfaces than as “underdogs” yet also does not often know how to book an underdog well.

Let's not forget the original Miracle Kid was Nikki A.S.H. Not sure which reign is going to be worse. Liv's reign is already better, lol. We're two weeks in and I could be wrong but hadn't Nikki already jobbed a couple of times at this point in her reign? I know Charlotte at least pinned her once. With Liv it's been ok so far. They've had her pin Natalya a few times including in a tag match where she had Bianca, who they love to book strong, as her partner. So Liv getting the hot tag and the pin in that match was a decent sign of faith I thought. If that was Nikki in that spot she probably would've just sold and Bianca would've got the hot tag and destroyed the heels before winning. As for The Miracle Kid stuff I think it's them trying to put her over as this courageous young woman who managed to get to the top against all odds through perseverance and drive without really knowing what the term miracle really means. In a weird say I don't think they are painting her out be a miracle in that she's lucky to be champion because she's not good but more it's a miracle she's champion with how bad they booked her for so long. Which it really is as I don't many would've really been able to survive the booking she's had.

…Citation needed?
I mean, I’m not watching as much as I used to, but this thread is the first time I’ve seen her referred to by this nickname. I only know it as part of Cole’s call of Daniel Bryan winning the main event at WrestleMania 30.
