El Generico going to NXT and being stripped of his mask and gimmick. Dude’s been just fine. The fact that there were some people who were upset that Generico retired & helped run an orphanage in Mexico...is upsetting.

El Generico would've been a comedy jobber at best in WWE. Sami Zayn is good enough at character stuff to retire him and do something that made him successful there.

When Bryan got fired in 2010 Only with the benefit of hindsight that he got rehired as soon as Mattell or whoever forgot they were so outraged by it. In the moment it was completely justified, and WWE probably was as pissed about feeling they had to fire a guy they were pretty high on to placate a third party. I just remember thinking at the time that they would bring him back in short order. Given some of the things they’ve brought people back after, this was always going to be nothing. But, I got to see him wrestle a good match with Adam Pearce for the NWA title. The guest ring announcer, who got the gig by winning an auction, screwed up and called him, “The Ultimate Dragon” Brian Pearce.

Just some fan who called himself Big Money. He basically tried to be a heel at the legends convention by always wearing Cena shirts and an airbrushed hat with a big dollar sign and “Big Money” on it. He had notes, which the heel Pearce ripped out of his hands shortly after he started. I didn’t see it, but Danielson wrestled the next night and did the Ultimate Warrior’s entrance, running to the ring and shaking the ropes.

I don't know how big the pushback was, but I know I was definitely not the only person who called bullshit on Edge beating Del Rio at Wrestlemania. WWE got a retroactive pass on what was frankly really shitty booking due to Del Rio being a shitbag and Edge being, at the time, seen as never being able to wrestle again.
Similarly, ROH putting their world title on Taven instead of Marty Scurll was dubious, but retroactively a good call due to Marty being Marty. (For the record, I was okay with Matt Taven winning the title. No, it wasn't what I'd call an exciting choice, but Jay Lethal had the title way too long at that point and it was time for a change.)

RD Reynolds? A part of something that created historical fallacies? I am shocked.
/They DID call "The Dragon" Steamboat every so often...
