Pretty simple but what is your favourite wrestling storyline/angle of all time? I loved Brets heel turn and the whole Canada v Usa angle.i thought the Hart Foundation were brilliant at this time if only for a short period and Brets mic work was the best it had ever been in my opinion.add in to that the rise of Stone cold around this time and i thought it was a truly magical period. What about you?doesn't have to be the greatest story or writing but what had you really gripped and felt like must see tv

Best was the HBK Vs Jericho fued built off Flairs retirement, featuring Batista. Felt organic with logical progression in a way few wrestling storylines do.
But it's still hard to say I enjoyed it more than Austin Vs Vince at the time, there's a reason so many have tried to capture just a bit of that magic.

I am not sure I could decide on just one, so some contenders
Charlie Morgan from coming out in the ring through the She 1 to winning the EVE title
Austin Aries Option C in 2012
Kofi's run up to the title
Lance Storm - triple champion in WCW
Heel Cactus Jack in ECW
The Cactus Jack/Triple H rivalry in early 2000

The Mega Powers.
The single best story WWF/E ever told.

The Mega Powers. The single best story WWF/E ever told. I was just thinking about that yesterday. The stories went for close to 2 years with them. There was a small period of time when Macho was doing the feud with Honkytonk and Duggan feud and Hogan and Andre were feuding but everything Wrestlemania IV to No Holds Barred was almost exclusively with Hogan and Macho stories on PPVs, SNMEs and other shows.

Mega Powers explode is almost Shakespearean with its universal themes of jealousy and madness. The series of promos that Macho did sinking ever deeper into jealousy, paranoia, and madness are probably the best in wrestling history.

Copy and pasted from a comment a few months ago:
The image of Taker/HHH/HBK at Wrestlemania 28 I think is the perfect ending of the entire saga but if you really wanted to you could probably stretch it even further than 2012.
In the end the streak was the key theme so you could say it all evolved into Lesnar ending it at Wrestlemania 30 then going on to squash Cena, win the WWE title and feud with Roman which unfortunately continues to this day.

Oh, a long term minor one- when I watched and old match with Toru Yano beating up a young lion Hiromu Takahashi, back when he was in his GBH gimmick and he cut off some of Hiromu’s hair. Years later in another match, Yano’s the master thief and Hiromu is the junior superstar, and Yano wants to cut his hair again, and he waves the scissors at Hiromu and just yells “Raaaahhhh!” And then Hiromu gets revenge and wins by countout when he traps Yano in the elevator. I was crying laughing.

Hogan-Andre. I know there was some foreshadowing involved, but I’m thinking mainly from the time Andre showed up with Heenan to make the challenge for WM3 through the twin refs and Andre trying to sell the belt to Dibiase.
The first Flair-Sting arc, from the 45 minute draw at the first Clash to Sting coming to Flair’s aid against the J-Tex Corporation to Sting winning the Iron Man tournament at Starrcade to Sting becoming a Horsemen to the awesome Ole promo and beat down, the unfortunate injury, and finally, Sting winning the title at the Bash.
For that matter, the Flair vs Funk feud, from Funk’s awkward challenge to, “Are you telling me I’m not good enough? You’re saying I’m not a contender?,” to the piledriver on the table, Gary Hart and the Great Muta, the plastic bag over the head, and ultimately the I Quit match and Funk shaking Flair’s hand.
The Mega Powers, as others have described.
Flair and Race leading up to Starrcade’83 and the passing of the torch. “Take the damn money!”

The precarious alliance between Hogan, Savage, Sting, Luger in late '95 WCW. After Luger showed up, almost every Nitro ended with the four of them in the ring almost getting into a scuffle, and then a few minutes later they would all be posing and high fiving. Luger joining the DoD was terrible, but the thing where Luger was basically a heel unless he was with Sting, and the constant "What's Luger's deal brother?" from Hogan and Savage made it very interesting to watch.

Mega Powers yes, but I'll go one further and say Randy Savage in general. To elaborate...Savage entering the WWF is the starting point, with him wanting titles and mistreating Liz. He gets a title, then we see how possessive of both he is with the Steele and Steamboat feuds. It took someone questioning him being the greatest I-C champ and then mistreating Liz himself to turn him face and have him join Hogan in the Megapowers. They get involved with DiBiase and Andre, which also harks back to Hogan's feud with Heenan, which goes back to the AWA days, 4-5 years before Savage arrived. You can vaguely tie in the Hogan/DiBiase deal from 1987-88 in this too. The team doesn't last, again, because of jealousy and paranoia about titles and Liz. Savage tries denial and a rebound in Sherri to get back his confidence. But Liz's appearances with Hogan and Dusty still get to him. When we get to the Warrior, if Savage can't have the WWF title, no one can so he costs him against Sarge. Leading to the career match, leading to Sherri abandoning Randy, then Liz taking him back. Love evnetually softens him again and the marriage happens, then the Jake stuff. Once that's done, he got Liz back and defended her honor, now it's time to go for the title again...against someone else who tries to antagonize him using Liz. And really, Flair vs. Savage would have been the perfect climax to his arc...but real life wrote the plot. Still, Savage and Liz's overall story lived on somewhat when Savage continued to feud with Flair...and it led to Mr. Perfect turning face, which in turn led to Lex Luger's WWF career. Shoot, Undertaker being the phenom might be thanks to Macho Man, as his face turn happened defending Liz. A lot of this carries over in WCW too. In fact, I'd say the OG Savage arc pretty much ends when Liz goes with Lex, and Savage with Gorgeous George. I have an even more detailed timeline saved somewhere. Was trying to change it to essay/book form.

I love that Rock/Austin had a continuous rivalry that kinda boiled to the surface every now and again for big moments, such as their IC fued/WM15/17/19. Even when they were both massive babyfaces, you always felt the tension between the two and I loved that intensity.
