BEHOLD THE KING. THE KING OF KINGS. It's a wild, wild world when I'm actually genuinely excited to see Triple H gain some sort of political power. I know he had his moments while he was a talent, but he seems like a genuinely good person. Hunter and Shawn have their share of skeletons hanging in the closet, but nowhere near what Vince has. Not even in the same zip code or geographical area. Backstage politicking, drug use, and generally being a pedantic child aren't necessarily good things, obviously, but being a pain in the ass is not the same as being the monster that Vince is showing himself to be as time goes on. And from a wrestling point of view? Hunter and Shawn at least let guys try things so they can be themselves, and they understand that the in-ring product today is different than it was 25 years ago. Some guys just don't like Hunter and Shawn, and I get it, I'm sure they're both still prone to being the pains in the ass that they were back when, but they've matured and grown by my estimates, and they're infinitely better than Vince.

With this news I could see Gargano coming back to WWE when he's ready to return to wrestling. Also think this could increase chances Io sticks around both are needed on the main roster

If Vince says he doesnt want Io on the main roster then H having his old job back wont change that. There will just be someone more sympathetic breaking the news to her that if she re signs that she will be staying in NXT.

Something you are overlooking here is that there was pretty much zero chance of Io getting called up or handled well with Johnny Ace in charge, because he was more interested in bringing up women that weren't ready or just aren't great, opting for looks over talent. Plus it's not like Vince and Johnny's track record with callups is great right now either. Outside of Gunther, pretty much everyone they've called up has flopped just as badly. All Triple H really needs to do is explain why Io would be a boon to the division (and I would think its way more likely going to happen than not considering Sasha and Naomi are still going to be gone), and that's enough for Vince most likely. Also Nick Khan will likely have a say in it, and he's been desperate to find the next big Japanese star, going as far to beg for KAIRI to stay signed with them.

Good riddance to Johnny Ace.
Not sure how much of an effect this will have but here’s to hoping Triple H has a lot of power again.

It means Johnny Gargano is going to be a millionaire within the next 3 years. That was my thought as well, this increases the chances that the Garganos come back to WWE and become trainers/producers when they retire. Also, Io renewing her contract. Also increases the chances of people making the jump from AEW, and Roddy sticking around.

Johnny Ace was Vinces yes man. He had the same sensibilities as Vince but in the nd he followed Vinces lead. If Vince wanted less models and more athletes than Ace being a sexist wouldnt matter because he does what the boss wants. Triple H can bug Vince all he wants about bringing up Io but H is already damaged goods to Vince. Vince, Bruce, and Ace already dismantled everything H built to rebuild what they wanted. Ace being gone isnt going to change that. H is just there because he knows the job and wont cause more trouble. The only was there is real change is if Vince is forced to step away. Even then he could appoint Bruce to do his job and control him from behind the scenes.

It's almost like the guy got pushed out of a position he was doing well in as punishment for not being able to get people who actively did not want to watch WWE, to watch WWE, but that made Vince Surprise Pikachu Face.

Hopefully he can work to fix most of the damage caused in his absence, but still mindblowing to me that they took a guy who was actually respected and liked in a talent relations spot, and replaced him with a loathed sex pest who didn't do a good job in it when he was there the first time. Still feels nuts to me that rather than be like "Hey Paul, we really need you to change how you're training these kids" they led a purge of his influence and cut a ton of his most trusted people.

I mean, I was joking about how Gargano will have mega bucks to his name wherever he goes now, but in general, Triple H was pretty much almost universally loved by the wrestlers when he was in that job from 2011-20, which is unheard for the VP of Talent Relations. Also of importance, not just to me, its removing a well known black hole for womens wrestling and replacing it with someone on record as being quite pro-womens wrestling. Even if that was the sole benefit, this is great news.
In terms of the opposition to the Stephanie/HHH succession route when Vince goes, though, I'm reminded of the chap in The Wire. You take a shot at the King (of Kings?) you better not miss. They appear to have done just that...

Hopefully getting his job back will fix his erectile dysfunction and he can give Stephanie a good banging tonight to celebrate.

Cool but the damage has been done by vince and co so i cant see a lot of indie and women wrestlers wanting to work for WWE as much any more with all thats happened and with Vince still in charge and all. I don't think it's changed all that much. I'm sure certain people WWE might not be their first goal, but I'm guessing if wrestler wants wrestling to be their daytime job they would rather try their luck at the WWE than wrestle all over the country for random Indy promotions.

This also has to really strengthen the notion that HHH and Stephanie are going to be the ones to takeover officially once the crypt keeper kicks the bucket because anyone of the goons could have been appointed...Bruce , Khan even Dunn but it wasn't them chosen here because HHH are the two best and even in Vince's empty noggin he knows unless he sells off the company then it is best left in the hands of HHH and Steph.

Bye Johnny, no one will miss you Being honest, I've disliked Johnny Ace since I found out in 2001 it was him who booked/coerced Sid into doing that move which broke his leg. Nothing in the intervening 21 years have improved that opinion, only made it increasingly worse. Vastly worse, given his cancerous role in talent relations and womens wrestling. He can f*** off and stayed f***ed off, in my book.
