Well I was thinking of taking my son to his first wrestling show since it’s been 20 years since my first live event. Glad as hell I didn’t pick Raw next month.

Maybe, but the economic climate might just force everybody to stay put. Seems like a worst case scenario for them. It's the unfortunate truth. AEW already has a pretty big roster and that's not including the ROH side of things. They'll probably have interest in the big names, but there's only so much room they can make. And Impact is a massive step down from both in terms of pay and fame. That will be fine for the lower end and NXT folks, but there's no way the big names can end up there. There's always Japan, but not everyone wants to or even can make the commitment to long-ass travel and/or living in a foreign country.
So for a lot people, it's either tough it out in WWE or leave the industry as a primary career and maybe wrestle weekends on the indies. Short of Stephanie/Triple H or someone else with a lot of money starting up their own large-scale promotion, a lot of people are stuck. And that really sucks.
That also depends on what Ohbari meant by "STRONG will be rebuilt". If they suddenly have the opportunity to sign a number of bigger names (say, Finn, just as one example), maybe NJPW decides to commit to running it as a more robust overseas brand. |

I could have told you that anything Vince said was a lie. The dude was never going to keep things the way they were because he hated the way they were The dude can't stand a WWE where he isn't at the forefront of it, especially creatively. I do not blame you if you sell. I’m mulling it over. Because if he sells, I stand to make a couple thousand. I just wish it wasn’t like this. Like why couldn’t he just stay away. if I were in your shoes, I’d hold a little longer. If there’s a sale coming, it’ll get leaked or at least you’ll get enough direction from media reports to know if it’s realistic. |

The abrupt nature of Steph leaving makes me wonder what we're in for tomorrow and in the coming days.
And I could absolutely see another wrestling company rise out of all this. HHH or Shane or whoever doubtless has contacts to get started and it really seems like we're going to need another place for guys to go because especially in the middle of a sale, WWE is not going to be employment friendly.

Joke question but also serious question: what happens with Regal now? He either put a Vince Clause in his WWE contract that he can walk if the dude tried to worm his way back in, tries to void his contract some other way, or he's stuck there. Keep in mind he had years left on his AEW deal, what absolutely horrific timing, he JUST started backstage on Smackdown THIS WEEK officially. |

Ok. As a WWE stockholder, this feels really strange and it’s not comforting. A day after Vince says the management that’s in place is great and won’t go anywhere, someone from that circle is gone. I honestly want to cash out on my stocks, since everything seems shaky at the top. I’d make a pretty good profit at this point but an actual sale happening is keeping me from pulling the trigger. Even though I had my suspicions of Vince getting back in power, I figured it would be a more gradual shift to the way things were before, but it appears the situation is even more volatile than that. Not surprising considering the reports of tension upon his return. It was a powder keg waiting to explode. |

I knew when the company meeting was 10 minutes long, only sucked Vince off, and then they took NO QUESTIONS whatsoever when it ended, that this was going down a bad road and we weren't going to like it, a company doesn't act like that unless something really bad is about to happen
And unfortunately, now we're here...
