Yeah despite everything attached to it, that’s money. They not losing that What has always been weird to me is WWE has ran around that area since the early 90s with bordering Kuwait (Saudi ally) if money is right...Just strange that it recently became a huge issue when the money skyrocketed. It became an issue when they started doing the shows at the behest of the oppressive government for propaganda purposes. It they were running their own shows the same way they did in the past no one would care at all. |

What has always been weird to me is WWE has ran around that area since the early 90s with bordering Kuwait (Saudi ally) if money is right...Just strange that it recently became a huge issue when the money skyrocketed. It became an issue when they started doing the shows at the behest of the oppressive government for propaganda purposes. It they were running their own shows the same way they did in the past no one would care at all. But there are many other sports entities that do this? F1, Golf, etc? Guess some things just hit different for me I guess |

I'm appreciative of the memories and moments Vince has given me. I respect what Vince has done in the world of wrestling. I accept Vince is likely an abuser of some kind. I am excited to see what WWE, or even wider, what pro-wrestling without Vince will be like. But I wont allow the last two to poison the memories given to me by the first, and for someone like Brisco, I can see the point he is trying to make, and agree with it to an extent. But equally, because of the third point, I can totally see why many are crowing. As an aside, I think for many, the potential excitement of what the fourth could mean might actually spark a genuine interest ratings rise. So the company might end up coming out of this better than anyone could imagine. |

I feel like that Brisco tweet is a case of Bagwell, Virgil and Sheik-someone making up a tweet without his knowledge. I know he loves Vince, is a long term "stooge" but I can't see him writing that tweet himself.

It's true to say Vince McMahon is a bad person who has hurt many people with his actions. It's also objectively true he's responsible for the most successful professional wrestling company of all time, and indirectly, all the fond memories and hours of entertainment said company has produced. As fans, we typically only have the opportunity to interface with the latter, and not the former. So, it makes sense to feel conflicted right now. I certainly do. I don't feel any sympathy for him, but today is a seismic and bittersweet day in wrestling, no matter how you square it.
