It became an issue when they started doing the shows at the behest of the oppressive government for propaganda purposes. It they were running their own shows the same way they did in the past no one would care at all. But there are many other sports entities that do this? F1, Golf, etc? Guess some things just hit different for me I guess And they're crappy if they run state-sponsored propaganda shows, too. I think the reason you don't see tons of uproar about golf tournaments run by Saudi princes on a pro wrestling forum is kind of self-explanatory, but I'm fairly sure you can find people in F1 communities who also don't like that that stuff is done that way. But conversely, tons of companies pulled out of Vision 2030 deals after the Khashoggi incident, like UFC even cutting off what was arranged to involve a partial sale of the company to make KSA part owners in the company, which would have been extra lucrative. Contrasted against WWE going right over to do a show like two weeks later, yeah, the issue kind of spoke for itself. |

I wish nothing but the worst for this man. He absolutely ruined professional wrestling, but more importantly, he's a sociopathic, racist, just generally awful person. I guess some may think it's hyperbole (and maybe it is), but in my opinion, this company is in the most trouble it has been in since WCW almost put it out of business.

Because the people have more of a chance to express their opinion now through various platforms on top of a lot of people not caring back in the day as well Also the deal got bigger around the time of the BEHEADINGS. That might have had something to do with it idk. That as well, fits into expressing themselves on various platforms. People are aware of insane shit and not sitting quiet on it |

Update on the F1 thing because I have wrestlefriends who are also into F1; not only do fans constantly complain but some of the drivers even protest and complain about it. There is never room for the bad faith strawman of "Nobody cares when anyone else does it" because yes, they do. They always do.

People are pissed about it, it's not contained to wrestling. |
