Not ideal, but I'll give it a chance before I start wanting Trips to take over booking too (obviously I don't want him to strain himself for health reasons).

Surprised this hasn't gained traction yet... Titus of all people in response to Gerald haha I think some people need to remember that the internal experience of Vince may be different to the external impression of Vince. The guy inspires loyalty. I dont know how or why, but he does. What we see, or want to see, might not be the experience of people actually there and in the mix.

It's a shame Punk isn't still in WWE because there aren't many civilians that embody the whole Cult of Personality thing more than Vince.

This shit is going to come full circle when AEW buys WWE and Tony Khan cuts a promo where he fires Jeff Jarrett.

When Bruce was running Raw in that weird period where Vince took a step back and let Bruce run Raw and Heyman run SD, Bruce didn't do a bad job. I think Bruce gets a lot of shit for being a 'Smithers' but I dont think Bruce himself is generally a problem, outside of a few people he doesnt get, but even that could just be him projecting Vince's thoughts. When left to his own devices, it'll be interesting to see what he does.

Oof, c'mon Titus what are you doin?
As for me, I don't feel conflicted in the least. My memories of stuff I like in wrestling are still there intact, but I'm not thankful to Vince for em. He provided a product that he got rich off of& and I watched and enjoyed that product. End of transaction.

Yeah, he certainly doesnt seem to have a grasp of women's wrestling, but that alone isnt a reason to think he can't do other things or would stop anyone else from doing it. We'll see.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, there has been a “pretty positive reaction” backstage at Smackdown in Boston, MA to the news of McMahon’s retirement. Johnson wrote the following… “While there is some surprise given it was Vince and the belief he would always be around in some form, the idea that there would be a new ‘energy’ for WWE creative has a lot of talents excited to see what comes next. The belief among the younger talents that a younger vision creatively will help the company connect better with the overall audience.” Johnson also noted that McMahon was not present backstage for Smackdown and will not be part of the creative process moving forward.

I'm not thankful to Harvey Weinstein for all the great movies he had a hand in producing or financing. I'm not thankful to McMahon for similar reasons.
