Dude can't even pretend for more than a week. Like at least let us get through the Rumble before you threaten us with making everything worse again... I feel bad for HHH, like once again dude goes to bat for Vince probably knowing full well it's a flat out lie, and here we are. I guess Austin Theory has gotta be happy. Man even Theory has been booked better under Triple H. I was hoping he’d stay away until the bloodline story concluded atleast

I wonder if Vince will have Rock go over Roman. Hell, he’d probably have Brock Lesnar win it again.

I hope there is not a wrestling fan anywhere that is surprised by that.
I imagine once they ousted him the first time that he just snuck into his former office in the dead of night and just sat there alone mumbling to himself about how he will get his revenge.
And I will happily take the bet on that he wont sell because no one wants to deal with this nut bag but he is gonna drag this out and keep falsely negotiating untill he just ups and goes...nope I have chosen not to sell and some corporate press release about how no offer he got was suitable yada yada yada.
His powerplay will have worked...he got all his people on the board , drove HHH an and Stephanie out and he is back in complete controll all under the false assumption he was going to sell.

if most black wrestlers start losing tonight on raw, we know Vince is back in charge... And just in time for MLK Day

Rumours are going to start circulating after the Rumble from minor outlets that Vince is back fully in charge at creative, which both the company and Meltzer will deny, but they won't go away as they're being leaked by Vince himself through his various stooges. Ratings will drop ever so slightly because people want none of that, and that slight dip will be used as an excuse for Vince to return to heading creative before Mania.

He's gonna use tonight as an excuse to take control. Raw's against a playoff football game where it's Tom Brady vs the Cowboys, and the new trailer for The Mandalorian drops during the game. All while news of Vince getting back into creative is making the rounds. Vince: "I'm taking control after the ratings for Raw proved people wanted me in charge."

so... how long before the pretence of a sale is dropped and vince admits he has taken back full control and is charge of everything up to when employees & independent contractors go to the loo, a week? two weeks? tomorrow?

Apparently there's a talent meeting going on right now prior to Raw, per SRS. Hitting mostly the same points as Friday's.

A sale kinda has to happen at this point, if just for the fact that it was the sole reason he said he was coming back. If he decides not to sell, then he's gonna be buried in lawsuits because stock price will crater. And Jerry McDevitt has already told Vince that he's retiring, which doesn't bode well for Vince's chances of actually beating these lawsuits. That's ignoring the fact that the SEC will likely reopen an investigation into Vince's behavior as well.

If he drops the pretense, he'll get sued by shareholders and the authorities as it would become clear he just pretended to be lining up a sale to get back on the board without crashing the stock price. He'll likely wait to get offers then crash the deals unless they're REALLY good or offer to keep him in charge.

Vince no longer gives a shit what happens to the WWE once he's gone, because running the actual wrestling end of things is an uncommon skill set and he's managed to piss off or run off everyone who could potentially do it when he's gone.

If he willingly negotiates and listens to offers...then some may be like well he was willing to sell even if he did not end up doing so. Idk how likely that would be to save his ass from people thinking he faked this just to get back his power because I was thinking there had to be some loop hole with him listening to offers making it look like he was totally willing to sell but he ultimately doesn't.

Idk how likely that would be to save his ass from people thinking he faked this just to get back his power because I was thinking there had to be some loop hole with him listening to offers making it look like he was totally willing to sell but he ultimately doesn't. There really isn't any sort of loophole he can exploit here. If he intentionally shoots down all the deals just to stay in power, stockholders will sue him. Because it's pretty clear he's toxic to the company and if Vince gets a good offer, he has no choice but to sell, otherwise he would be in violation of his fiduciary duty. Which could be a federal crime. But yeah, if he gets an offer over WWE's market cap (which is currently $6.65B), he's going to be heavily pressured to accept it, otherwise he's gonna get in trouble. And when buying out a company, its generally good practice to buy out the stocks at a premium. So right now WWE stock is roughly $90. If Comcast for example offers to buy out all the stocks at $120 per share, Vince would be heavily pressured into selling. Failure to do so would result in him being found in violation of his fiduciary duty.

Rich white people always win in America, that’s why Vince will get away with whatever crazy plan he goes forth with.
