I fear another relegation battle for Everton. I think they are going down. They will be worse than last season. Losing their star player and bringing in two useful but hardly standout players from a team that was relegated last season doesn't exactly bode well, does it?

I got a total of one prediction correct last season but here we go again.
1. Liverpool - I think they will hit the ground running & build a lead by the time of the WC break. 2. Man City - Will take time to gel with Haaland, a bit of a slow start but will be very strong back half of the season. 3. Chelsea - The signings will help them close the gap but will still be a bit further behind the top 2 4. Spurs - Look good to finish top 4 with the squad they have. 5. Arsenal - The Arteta project is promising, give them another 12 months & they will be a Champion's League team. 6. Newcastle - Saudi money starting to show rewards. 7. Man Utd - I can't see them improving yet. Maybe they will in 12 months. 8. West Ham - More of the same from them. Going to be a difficult team to beat again. 9. Palace - I doubted Viera but he is getting results. 10. Wolves - Will be super strong defensively again, but will struggle to score. 11. Leicester - Not sure if Rodgers can get any more out of them. 12. Brighton - Another season of safety. 13. Southampton - They will play an attractive style, games will be fun to watch. 14. Villa - Mid table security, I don't know why but I see a good cup run for them. 15. Leeds - Jesse Marsch looks like he has the making of a quality manager. 16. Forest - Steve Cooper has them humming along. Have added good players too. 17. Brentford - Will just about do enough again. 18. Bournemouth - Not convinced they have the squad to survive. 19. Everton - The "escape" hides the fact they were worse after sacking Benitez. Sold the best player they had. Will go down. 20. Fulham - Yoyo back down again.

Hope for Ally McCoist and get Karen Carney. That's like expecting Bryan Danielson and getting Alberto Del Rio. I think everyone doing the euros is better.
Only prediction I'll make is Everton going down, I've even put money on it.

Do feel a bit worried for Norwich this season. Really feel that we still cannot find an edge again.
Anywho, anybody up for some Fantasy Premier League this season?

Liverpool secures the Community Shield with a 3-1 win over Man City with goals from Alexander-Arnold, Salah (PK), and Darwin.

I fear another relegation battle for Everton. Honestly I'd say the only reason they even stayed up last season was how many big teams decided to phone it in on them. I'm not sure they're getting that lucky twice.

I actually think Everton will survive. Lampard is out of his depth and the squad looks poor but I think there will be at least 3 worse teams after 38 games (Bournemouth, Fulham and I’m not sure who I think the third will be yet). I’m expecting Lampard to be gone fairly quickly and someone like Sean Dyche to come in and just about keep them up.
I think the top 4 will be 1. Man City 2. Liverpool 3. Tottenham 4. Arsenal
I can see Chelsea having a poor season, Tuchel leaving and them missing out on a CL spot.
Aston Villa will be an interesting one to watch. They continue to spend big and I don’t think fans will settle for flirting with relegation before achieving mid-table mediocrity again. If they don’t start well Gerrard will be under pressure.

England hopefully will end 56 years of hurt today at Wembley against the Germans.
25 if you don’t count La Tournoi.

Don't burden the women with the failures of the men. The women are a huge inspiration and proper footballers, our mens teams have been rubbish for so long and at times a disgrace,it's nice we finally have a national team who are proper role models for the country.

1-1 at the end of first half of extra time. This could be a mistake from a tired player from either team. Penalties at Wembley between Germany and England ?
