After giving it some thought and hearing out some arguments I've seen, I'm convinced they make it to the finals.

They should've had Castle and The Boys face Best Friends. They are the ROH 6 Man Champions

I like this bracket a lot, and I think given the injuries and such, they've done a good job at making all four of these matches pretty darn intriguing
The left side is just two bangers and potential classics, especially if Omega returns, the right side is a bit more experimental, but the Best Friends/Trustbusters has actual tension now, and House of Black/Dark Order doesn't feel as sure thing of a win for HOB as it did before with both Hangman in their corner and Miro vowing to destroy them
I love Trios Tournaments, I went to King of Trios 2012 live and it was an amazing experience, I can't wait to see another Trios tourney full of bangers!

It's a pity they're cramming the tournament into such a short space of time. They could have stretched it out by having 16 teams and having the tournament go from beginning after All Out and culminating at Full Gear. Off the top my head, in addition to the 8 in the tournament, you could have had: - Dalton Castle & The Boys (current ROH 6 Man Champs) - Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & YOH from New Japan (the current NEVER 6-Man Champs) - JAS (2.0 & one of Sammy, Hager or Garcia) - BCC (Wheeler, Claudio & Danielson) - Ass Boys & Moriarty or Ethan Page (i.e. whatever Stokely is putting together) - The Nightmare Family (3 out of Dustin, Lee Johnson, Brock & Shawn Dean) - The Factory (3 out of QT, Solo, Commorato & Karter) - Lethal, Dutt & Singh
I dunno, in a company so steeped in factions and tag teams, you could've really made this a big deal. I'm still happy with what we got, but as always, I want more lol

I do hope Dark Order beat House of Black, either by their own virtue, or Miro or Darby costing them. Truthfully, House of Black with the titles would be kind of boring right now, and Dark Order kinda deserves it after how asleep at the wheel Khan has been with them.

I think some people are burnt out on Tourney's in AEW for this year, and I could see people getting tired of a Trios Tourney very quickly if it stretched on for literal months. King of Trios worked because it was 16 teams in a grueling 3 day ironman stretch. You can't do that in a TV setting, so giving it a generally nice pacing here imo works, and leaves the door open for other teams once the winners are declared

Burning through this tournament in the span of two weeks is 100% a positive to me. It feels like it's been like a year since AEW hasn't had some tournament or other going on. Been a pretty relentless chain of the TBS title one then the Full Gear thing then the Owen tournaments then the Pretend PAC Matters Championship, it's well past time to give them rest. Doesn't really help the Full Gear one is the only one I'd say was really particularly watchable.

Anyway, gonna take a stab at predicting the tournament: Death Triangle over United Empire La Facción Ingobernable over Bucks & Partner (who I think is Kenny and Cole costs them the match) Dark Order over House of Black (I think Hangman splits off into a feud with HoB from this match) Best Friends over Trustbusters La Facción Ingobernable over Death Triangle Best Friends over Dark Order Finals at PPV: La Facción Ingobernable vs Best Friends

The Owen for example got a lot of people bored of tournament in AEW with the qualifying matches.

I think the other issue unfortunately is a lot of the qualify was way too drawn out. I do think the Owen was made to look prestigious but yeah you cannot have the qualifying for the tournament be longer than the actual tournament

Would they really have Kenny lose his first match back in AEW? Even by UE interference?

I'm pulling for literally anyone but Kenny and the Bucks. It's just so predictable. Give DO or Best Friends the belts instead.

In case anyone's curious and doesn't feel like checking for the thread for it, the winner of Best Friends / Trustbusters was... {Spoiler}Best Friends.

Until either the Bucks and Omega or Cole & co lose a match, this tournament is pointless.

If Dark Order or Best Friends win it, fine.
If Omega and The Bucks win, then like The Owen it's nothing more than an Ego Trip

Not to say they are but like putting your belts on three of the best guys you have isn't an "ego trip".

Cole and reDRagon are like my college's football team in this tournament: Undefeated (because they don't exist)!
I'd like to see the Trios titles lift up an underrated team like Dark Order or the Best Friends. And I think Kenny playing out this "not 100% thing" is going to play into that. Likely interference, too. The war between Undisputed and OG Elite doesn't need titles to make the feud money.
