Best Friends or Dark Order, either way, I'm okay with the result. Feel like whoever makes it to the finals is going over Young Bucks/Omega, just since at this point, the Young Bucks owe it to either team for being good soldiers and putting them over constantly in feuds. Thinking about it, I still would have been cool with Dark Order winning, obviously, but I'm okay with what we got. If it had been 10 or Uno with Alex and John, it'd have been straight-up bullshit, but this is alright.

But we're not, because they're obviously going back to being jobbers. This never had anything to do with the Dark Order, it was about the Elite and Page. Unless you seriously think they'd get pushed to the finals with 10 as their partner? It's not good that they killed it; it's depressing. Because their reward for it will be occasionally appearing on Elevation and that's it. AEW has lost my trust about stuff like this, and I am definitely not alone. How do you know that though? Like the storyline beat is that Page cost THEM the match, not the other way around. Why is the logical booking step "Well f*** Silver and Reynoilds, it's OBVIOUS what's going to happen" Like no it isn't, some people thought Dark Order would get knocked out round one. They just beat HOB and Best Friends, Silver and Reynolds got the pins in those matches not Hangman If they've lost your trust fine? But like don't you see the issue of seeing an amazing match where two dudes looked f***ing amazing and the followup in the Trios thread is "RIP to those jobber losers because they lost" after what was a damn near 5 star match? Despite how they lost? And Hangman's just going to immediately abandon them when the only reason they lost is BECAUSE of Hangman? I'm sorry I'm just tired of this being how it is lately, and I am definitely not alone in that sentiment either. I have no idea "how it is." I think it'd help to either respond to me or to talk about some general trends, rather than mixing them together. Anyway, yeah, AEW has let too many people languish for me to trust them anymore about it. People had a lot of hope the trios titles would change things, and finally help a group like Dark Order or Best Friends have a place. Looks like, nope, it was just for the Elite, and the story moving forward is about Page. I don't know what you're basing your optimism on, but you don't have to be a vicious hater or whatever to find this discouraging and a bad sign for the future.

Because the entire reason Silver and Reynolds lost is because of Hangman and even if the story going forward is about Hangman, Dark Order are involved because they're Trios Champions if Hangman doesn't mess up? This isn't even optimism, this is the storyline beat they presented to me. If they just f***ed off to DARK and Elevation after that it would literally make no sense, I shouldn't have to base my optimism on anything, it's literally what they showed me, threw in front of my face. Some wrestlers do have a place or are kept warm at certain tiers, I get that can be discouraging when you want to see them succeed, but Silver and Reynolds just had one of if not THE match of their careers, the last thing I feel we should be in the thread about it is exceedingly bitter and that they will never ever do anything again. These dudes were no name jobbers when they came into AEW, they just had one of the matches of the entire year, don't care if they lost, we should be talking about how awesome that is imo. Especially since I've watched these guys since like 2011, and I really like seeing them succeed, and they did tonight.

Page messing up is about his own character development moving forward, and that's all about the Elite, not the Dark Order. Reynolds and Silver only got this far because Page was on their team (again, seriously, can you imagine them making the finals or portrayed as potentially beating the Elite with 10 as their partner?), and they were never themselves central to the story. Their specific characters coulda been anybody. And I think you're misunderstanding, because it doesn't necessarily even matter that they lost. It's that they were only there in the first place because they had an ancient storyline connection to one of the important wrestlers (Cole getting injured probably played a part), and now they're going back to their place. The trios titles aren't about elevating people after all; they're just gonna be like everything else. I guess I'm just confused about... like you're not just disagreeing and saying your own opinion, you're trying to say what, in general, this whole thread should have people saying in it. But... like, yeah, it sucks that AEW's booking hurt my appreciation of a technically good and entertaining match. Should I not say so?

I think distrust and being unsure is one thing, just saying they're going to be losers who go away and Hangman finds new people after all that I think is a giant leap that doesn't feel logical at all Like if that were to happen it'd just be ridiculous. I'm hoping we get some follow up to this on Wednesday because again, the match ruled, I hope they stay a team and even try again
