I know this is the match Vince has been clamoring for and yeah it would probably be a good fued on the mic, but the Rock is 50 and hasn’t had a real match in a decade. I think HHH would rather have Cody vs Roman headline the show

I don't think so for a few factors: 1)Rock's age. 2)Rock's movie schedule 3)Rock running XFL

Roman will main event both nights - Night 1 - Rock for the title - he retains, Night 2 he loses it to Cody or if by some miracle a super over face gets over big time

Wasn’t it Bryan Alavarez that said Rock’s early 2023 schedule is open so that he might be available for Mania? Even HHH knows if you get The Rock wrestling Roman Reigns for Mania, that’s printing money and press. I’d guess it’s still the plan unless Rock’s schedule doesn’t call for it. I think Cody will face off and once and for all put away Seth Rollins to win the WWE title at Mania.

I think it’s pretty silly to think Triple H would turn down Rock vs Roman.
It’s the match any Booker with sense would do if they could. The Rock is true A list celebrity and is the cousin of your top guy, who is talking about his family for 2 years.
It’s a no brainer.

I think Cody will face off and once and for all put away Seth Rollins to win the WWE title at Mania. He said he doesn't have any TV/movie commitments to help launch the XFL. He speculated he could in theory run the XFL and do Mania and on one hand it would make sense since I imagine he could work WWE TV in exchange for some publicity for the league. But on the other hand, running a new league is a lot of responsibility. Vince even missed some TVs when his version started a few years ago. I just don't think he's going to have the time for it.

Nick Khan's sister runs The Rock's TV show. It's no more or less likely than it was under Vince.

I think Rock has said he would be up for it if it fits in his schedule, so the possibility is always there.
I think it would absolutely sell the event to casuals and get HUGE mainstream attention. That alone would make it worth it.
As long as the undercard was strong, giving up some time for a match like this, wouldnt blame them if they could get it. The money prints itself.

I said it from the beginning it'd be absolutely stupid to do it for the Title.
Rock vs. Roman should be a draw on it's own at this point.

The Rock won't ever be available, so they will just end up getting Manu instead.
Would you like that FAN? Would you like Roman vs. Manu?

I think the real answer is that as of right now, yes, it's still probably on. If the Vince stuff gets worse or more bad stuff comes out about the WWE, I could see him thinking it's not a good time to get close to the company.
I still think that's part of why Cena/Theory isn't happening this weekend. The Peacemaker season 2 filming excuse seems to have only been reported by Alvarez and Meltzer. James Gunn's said nothing about it and was running around Comic Con promoting GOTG Volume 3 this past weekend and other folks in the cast seem to be running around doing other stuff. I don't think it's actually happening yet and folks were just hoping that the rumor would spread without substantiation.

I don't like the idea of a 50 year old can hardly go anymore Rock being the one that ends the Roman run.
