Never should have named the titles after the channels.

Dave based all of that over what seems to be somewhat misleading reporting that missed some context about their new direction. Dave has also been wrong in the past when it comes to TV deals, often underestimating WWE. I'm a fan of Dave and while I understand his pessimism after everything he has seen go down in the wrestling industry, I think it's very misplaced here.

Meltzer seems to be acting like the sky is falling
I don’t understand what people are misinterpreting about what Dave’s saying. There’s a new head of company who is making a lot of changes and is in cost cutting mode. That *obviously* adds more uncertainty to what kind of increase AEW will get. And all he saying is that’s uncertain.

I trust Thurston waaaaay more on this. And wow, that graph really shows the money gap between the two companies. Holy crap AEW is undervalued.

I mean, if they cut AEW, what else are they going to replace it with? More Big Bang Theory reruns?

Worried's probably not the right word. But they probably shouldn't just assume everything is hunky dory either

If you look at what was cut, it was either incredibly niche shows or things they were afraid were going to be embarrassments. We consider wrestling to be niche (and to some degree it is) but when you get the ratings for AEW with Discovery having to put in very little investment I don't think they should be worried

All he said was their deal might be less given this new exec's approach. People need to chill.

I think we can talk about the validity of Meltzer's reporting and discuss whether or not there's valid concerns without posting MeltzerSaidWhat? tweets in here.

If AEW offered this package: - Dynamite - Rampage (moved to a different station if necessary on Tuesday at either 8/9 EST - look at the charts on Tuesday, there's very little competition) - Four Battle of the Belts (expanded to two hours) - Rights to the AEW and ROH video libraries - Exclusive streaming rights to Dark and weekly ROH TV show - Exclusive streaming rights to AEW PPVs on either B/R Live or a live streaming aspect of HBO Max/Discovery Plus
I think based on the value of the ratings they bring in and the content they offer, that should easily clear 100 million. I want to emphasize that everything should be up for negotiation here. Rampage's timeslot and Battle of the Belts' length was decided by the previous regime. Moving Rampage to a better time slot immediately elevates the revenue it can generate. Expanding Battle of the Belts makes it more must see. Lots of exciting possibilities here for Tony to get a lot here.
And as someone else mentioned, they're very much undervalued. We don't have the exact number but based on all reports, NXT gets paid a similar value to what AEW gets paid for Dynamite and Rampage. That's obviously ridiculous and given the movement in the industry, it's far more likely AEW gets paid more to correct that than NXT getting paid less.

Monthly PPVs? I dont know.....
Oof, no thank you. The quarterly schedule is what makes them worth it to me. If it's out of my price range to get every AEW PPV, I would probably end up getting fewer than four a year out of waiting for the Right One.

What B/R live people want doesn't mean that's what AEW will do either. Though I'm sure AEW also has its own research on if they should do more than 4 regular PPV's a year.
But if WBD breaks the bank for monthly PPV's in the next deal, you gotta consider it.

Dave was just on Observer Live discussing this. I’m paraphrasing, but he essentially said they’re definitely gonna get an increase but might not cross the $100 million mark a lot of people were confident in not too long ago. The key is lining up multiple bids.
