I'd actually rather not ever see a direct Capcom vs SNK style supercard, if only for how absolutely, ridiculously insufferable the online discourse before, during, and after would be, and frankly neither promotion needs it. It'd be a massive issue behind the scenes as well... like we wouldn't get Mox/Punk vs. Roman since neither side is going to want to have their Champion lose. You are still competition and you wouldn't want your company to look bad so it'd end up with full 50/50 booking. (New Japan and AEW is at least a little different as they are not entirely direct competition, like WWE and AEW are.) Mox and Roman might have to actually murder the other guy to win... and even then, I'm not so sure the other guy still wouldn't kick out.

That is not even really a Vince thing, that's just wrestling. That is not going to go away because people will always have their own personal bias or Homer mentality It won't go away, but it _might_ ramp down in intensity now. People who found Vince personally abhorrent for various and sundry reasons may be less emotionally invested in the tribalism now that the entire WWE doesn't have to go down in order to get rid of him. It's interesting. Can you remove all the problematic parts quickly enough or is it rotten to the core? Changing the culture can take time. If something even worse comes out about Vince's actions can it be separated from current WWE? Some aspects of American corporate culture won't change and the Saudi deal isn't going anywhere. I hope new management can turn things around off-screen, it's a big ship to turn around but they seem to be off to a decent start.

Even in Japan, where historically you'll more often see companies that compete with one another doing some kind of crossover, a lot of the time the main events you get are tag matches that involve a legend and younger guy from each promotion, and it just feels like fans in North America wouldn't be as excited for that. There've been times when, say, the IWGP champion and the Triple Crown champion have faced off, but it kind of feels like that's the sort of thing fans here would demand right away.

Really in general I just prefer the idea of every company being an island. Feel like there are a lot more headaches that come from working with other companies for big crossover shows than come benefits from it, and really a good illustration of that is looking at the run-up to Forbidden Door where we basically got a month full of shows that were a bunch of half-assed stalling while they tried to figure out what the card was and ultimately if not for Punk's injury nothing remotely of consequence would've wound up happening on it.
