It’s 1:29am and my first alarm starts going off at 7:20am so I’ll make this first post brief and update sometime later today with pictures and such…
Wow. Just…wow.
Listen, the October 2019 Dynamite experience was awesome. But this was something totally different. Not just the card (an absolute banger by any metric) but the whole experience. And my god I’m proud of my fellow West Virginian’s tonight…I hope it translated to TV well. That crowd tonight was light years ahead of the crowd from 2019. Which just made the entire experience that much better.
And I still can’t get over seeing Punk, Mox, American Dragon, the Bucks, and the f***ing return of Kenny BY GOD Omega.
Plus, we gifted the world the “YOU’RE A WRESTLER!” chant tonight. You’re welcome 😁
Anyway, I need to finish this smoke and go to bed. Work comes early (thank Jah I work from home and my commute is non-existent 😂)
Pics to come….
For now; Asylumhausen…OUT.

Glad you had a great time. I said it in the live thread but the crowd noise never properly translates to TV. It’s weird because you can see people reacting and like hear that it’s happening but it sounds quiet.
You guys got a hell of a show! I’m so excited Punk and Omega are back and there’s a high probability they’ll be there when I go to the Albany show.

I feel like the crowd audio was more or less fixed by the end of the first segment and seemed considerably louder for the rest of the show, since like was said in the live thread, you could see people reacting disproportionately to the noise on screen when Punk and Mox were going at it.
Definitely by the main event time you could tell the crowd was going mad, heck, the pop just from Kenny going for a turnbuckle ten-count punch was astounding.
And yeah, I'm both glad the crowd was better across the board than the 2019 crowd and also kind of curious to hear specifics, though wasn't the 2019 show only like the third episode of Dynamite ever? I feel like there'd have been a lot less familiarity and more expectations of just generic "oh hey live wrestling", but all I really remember from that particular show was Hangman vs Sammy and Hangman being stupid popular.
Though I wish someone would let the talent know that Aaron's Creek VA is nowhere near WV.

Pics are uploaded/uploading (jah bless Imgur) So... The meet & greet process was so much smoother than it was at the October 2019 episode when we met the Young Bucks. This time they did it in some rooms removed from the main concourse. Anyway, I made sure my son stepped up to the table first - I had paid for HIM to be there after all - and he was barely containing his giddiness. He wished Danhausen a Happy Birthday and they chatted for a second while Danhausen signed an 8X10 for him. As I stepped up to say hello and whatnot he commented on my shirt (the "Jane Doe" face shirt. Converge is one of my favorite bands and Danhausen is obviously a fan as well) I thanked him and said "I doubt you remember, but you and I met back in December down in Harts" "Oh yeah...the Ricky Morton show right?" "Yup" "wait...you were wearing a two minutes to late night shirt weren't you?" "Yup. The integrity skull shirt" "YES!" ...and we chatted from there for a sec then snapped a pic and got on our way. On the way up to the concourse from the back stage areas my son was like "Of COURSE Danhausen remembers my Dad! Everyone knows my Dad" lol After milling around on the concourse, checking out the gimmick table and getting something to drink we made our way to our seats. About 20 minutes or so after we sat down we noticed someone milling around with the floor crowd, taking selfies, and interacting with people. We decided to go say hello and see about grabbing a pic... So yeah. That was pretty cool and an unexpected bonus. More later....

A fun story from yesterday... So, we (my son, me, my brother in law) get into town around 2:30p. My son and I popped into my barber shop to get much needed haircuts (I am usually working during their business hours so it's hard for me to get in for a cut during the week) then we hit up the best BBQ spot in town for a late lunch/pre-show dinner (Dem 2 Brothers and A Grill. If you're EVER in the Charleston area add it to your list. If nothing else? Their banana pudding is GOD TIER) Anyway, we stop at Starbucks after to grab some coffee before heading over to get parked and get in the meet and greet line. While we're waiting for our drinks i'm outside making a quick phone call and grabbing a smoke, my son is texting some friends at the end of the bar, and my brother in law is milling around by the shelves with mugs, bags of coffee, etc trying to shake off the two STRONG vodka and club sodas he'd had at lunch. After we're in the arena at our seats he relays the story of his experience at that shelf. While he's there this "cute blonde" comes in and is browsing the same shelf. She makes conversation with my BIL about good places to get coffee in Charleston and how much she needs caffeine. A nice enough convo that was super quick and that was that. It wasn't until he was in line with us at the M&G that he realized who the blonde he'd chatted with was since she was standing now right in front of him, to the right of Danhausen, wearing the same clothes she'd been wearing at Starbucks.... And thus my streak of either directly or indirectly being in Starbucks at the same time as wrestlers when there's a show in town continues.... (i'd previously run into Bobby Roode in the same Starbucks a couple years ago)*note* this is a poorly timed snap of Toni I admit (I had grabbed it quick to send to my best friend who is a big fan of Toni, but wasn't at the show), one of the AEW staffers was saying something to her off camera and I click the button at the worst time lol

I've watched the video of Roberts intro now a few times and I'll say this; As loud as this shit was on TV it was even louder inside the building. I'll put it this way; July 29th my son and I were in PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh for Rage Against The Machine & Run The Jewels and there was a legit 14,500/15,000 people in that building and it was LOUD. Last night, with somewhere between 4500 and 5000 people in the building, was just as loud to my ears as that. https://www.instagram.com/tv/ChYfyFyg2wU
