I'd be very surprised if either Mox or Punk lost clean on Dynamite.

I'd be very surprised if either Mox or Punk lost clean on Dynamite. Me too, but then why blow this match on live TV IMO. The reactions for their first ever one on one meeting in AEW on PPV wouldve been off the charts.

I definitely don't expect a clean finish. All Out's in two weeks and they basically haven't done anything to build an alternate title match for it.

I honestly have no idea. I have no doubt that AEW has a plan and a reason why this is happening (beyond popping a TV rating) but that could be anything. Setting up a different challenger for the PPV, regardless of champ, seems to be the wrong call. It could be a DQ and then a rematch, but that's not AEW's style either. They could get away with it, but it would be unusual.
I like the idea of someone (probably MJF) crashing the start of the match so it never actually gets underway. Do some big angle that means the situation can't get under control/someone gets taken out and the match can never start. If it's a big enough of a car crash angle, it won't feel like a bait and switch.

But even then Discovery has said they like the product, so I dont know.

Some sort of dusty finish to set up a rematch. I hope MJF just destroys them both to stop it from taking place.

Punk.
The whole point of keeping the title on him while he was injured for 2-3 months I assume is because they have plans for him as champion. It wouldn't make sense to then have him lose immediately after returning.

Punk leans down on the turnbuckle as Mox prepares to enter, switches out with Eric Angle, then pins Mox 1-2-3 when Mox realizes the real Punk is behind him.

Has to be MJF wrecking it. Maybe an extra swerve of him and Punk joining forces. Punk as aew champion getting MJF ready to be future WWE champion.

I'd only be for a non-clean finish if MJF makes a surprise return.

I have absolutely no idea why they're doing this so soon, which says to me there's definitely a dodgy finish, so I'm voting for my boy Max.

I think Mox retains due to MJF.

Punk vs MJF for the title is most likely where its leading so somehow Mox loses...If he loses this he loses the GCW title soon too

I think there's shenanigans involved or Punk isn't as 100% ready to come back as we think.
I also think there's a non-zero chance of MJF factoring into things. A heel-turning Punk forming an alliance with MJF as a couple of misanthropic assholes could be interesting to see.

A heel-turning Punk forming an alliance with MJF as a couple of misanthropic assholes could be interesting to see. I've seen conflicting reports on Punk's status. If this is a quick match to get the belt off him while he properly recovers and make Mox the rightful unidisputed champion, then it makes sense, regardless of the weirdness this week. I also think it makes sense this way rather than just Punk giving up the belt and Mox becomes Undisputed champ by default. Protects everyone involved while swiftly straightening the title situation out. Punk can work his way back up to the title when he's back in this scenario. If MJF returns, then he has to ruin the match before it even starts, cut another promo about how it's AEW's biggest show of the year and it's headlined by two ex-WWE guys. The thing he was griping about when he did that promo taking him off TV months ago. When MJF did the promo, there was fan footage of what happened during the commercial break, where Punk seemingly came out to talk to MJF, and I've been wondering about that ever since. Will it ever come up when/if MJF actually returns> But that's for a whole other thread. I'm leaning towards Punk not being 100%, so we're getting a quick, SAFE title match to get the belt off him and he disappears again until he's ready.
