Man... how missed was he? There's something about Omega that just feels different than a vast majority of the AEW roster.
He's like Cena or Roman in the WWE. Whatever he does, just feels bigger.

Highly missed. I think a break after that reign helped, but good lord does he bring a different energy that no one on the roster can replicate

He needed the break or we mightve seen a very early retirement from him, and he's too important to wrestling for that
But yeah he was missed, the dude just is a master at his work

I think AEW really missed him. He's a legit main eventer and star that has no affiliation with WWE. They don't have many of those. He does represent AEW in a way that many other wrestlers don't.

Very dynamic and magnetic performer. Love his facial expressions.
Also I’ve never really had much issue with Omega on the mic, he’s articulate and he gets his point across with strong delivery.

He's their Ace for a reason. Very dynamic and magnetic performer. Love his facial expressions. Also I’ve never really had much issue with Omega on the mic, he’s articulate and he gets his point across with strong delivery. Agreed. He holds his own and I think he's even better on the mic as a heel. Besides, anything he lacks there he more than makes up for the kind of physical charisma he brings to everything he does.

AEW has an amazing stock of main event talent and stars. None of them feel as core to the fundamental vibe of the show as Kenny does. He's the glue. He's foundational. Other guys can be champion, other guys can be over, but Kenny is such a big piece that his absence is just not right. He does so much for the show week by week just by being there. You know Mox can carry the torch, you know Hangman can be the hero, you know Danielson can casually put on a banger without breaking a sweat, you know Punk can captivate people with just a sentence. None of them can be all that Kenny is to AEW.

He is certainly one of a kind. I remember first watching him in the ROH TV HDNet days wondering why he wasn't one of their main guys on top.
I think he just had to prove himself which he eventually did in New Japan.

He is Mr. AEW.
Hope he plays it a little safer this for around so we have a decade more of him.

He is Mr. AEW. Hope he plays it a little safer this for around so we have a decade more of him. With all his current injuries I just don't see him lasting that long. He put a lot of miles on his body working in New Japan. In 2010 if Bryan Danielson had gone to New Japan fulltime instead of WWE I don't think there would be any way he'd still be wrestling today.

His promo afterwards spoke volumes. About AEW continuing its mission plan. To provide variety and a “smorgasbord” of content. AEW’s changed since he left.
I adore the guy. The only reason I latched onto BTE/The Bucks was because of Kenny Vs Okada & all the buzz it gathered. The Bucks always felt like the “accessible” component of the movement. Hangman the potential and future. Cody, the face. I don’t know what that makes Kenny. The catalyst perhaps? But he is AEW.

I'll also always have a soft spot in my heart for Omega (short of extraordinary circumstances mind you). Late 2018 was probably the lowest point in my interest in wrestling since the Invasion storyline sputtering out in 2001 put me off watching anything for a few years. Then I was looking for something to watch on Christmas Day and AXS had a marathon of NJPW matches going on for the day. Match I came across as it was just beginning was Omega vs Okada 2 out of 3 falls at Dominion 2018.
My interest in wrestling was reinvigorated with that match and I like, CONSUMED everything I could of Omega that night lol.

It's funny, I love Omega, and I enjoy Okada, but could never get into thier matches. Idk. Both are all time greats, have been in dozens of matches I enjoy. But their 6 star trilogy just never has worked for me.

I think bringing him back for this Trios title thing under sells him a bit, but I understand the main event scene is a little busy at the moment, I just thought it might have made more sense for him to come back at All Out at the end of the show for a staredown with the winner of Punk and Mox which I would expect to be Punk, followed by an angle going into Full Gear which perhaps involves Hangman as well, but each to their own. People seem happy enough with whats going on instead.

I don't care what anyone says, Omega has a larger than life presence. He is the Hogan/Rock of AEW.
a few days before I saw a highlight vid of his title run , and it just made me realize how much was missing from his absence.

The dude is everything you can want in a pro wrestler.
I've never understood the "he can't talk" thing. His promos are fine, usually more than fine. He doesn't sound rehearsed like Dwayne, or phony like Cena, or edgelord like Punk.
It's what I like about both him, and Hangman, both guys sound genuine on the mic.

But their 6 star trilogy just never has worked for me. My favorite is probably the third match they had in the G1. I enjoyed their work together in general but I felt they got a lot out of that half-hour window. Way faster paced than the prior two.

In the ring I feel like Kenny is untouchable. Kenny is a once in a lifetime worker that can exude that "it" factor and backing it up in the ring. On promos he can be hit or miss but he's way better than he was before and he's hit way more than missed.
