In kayfabe I guess she was the #1 Contender for the NXT UK Title before it went under. In reality likely to be a fall girl so Mandy or Meiko don't have to job. I just don't think they trust Mandy enough for this match to be one on one. They did the same thing with her match over Mania weekend. I doubt that's the case. The reason the Mania weekend match was likely changed was because she was fighting Cora who is a green 21 year old. I'm not familiar at all with Meiko but she's in her 40's and has a lot of experience and has a reputation of being really good so I don't get why there would be a concern about her not being able to have at least a serviceable match with Mandy. Mandy's NXT Special matches with Zoey and Wendy Choo were fine enough and while both of them are two are regarded as good workers neither of them have the rep Meiko has.

NXT 2.0 is def hitting the era of Black and Gold on the Network Fun segments, insane people and no one giving a damn about the world title matches (sorry Bron) While I'm much more into the wacky side of things, it's got a great balance going right now.

It's a bit different because Mandy is the weak link here but I think they want a killer match on a big wrestling weekend and Mandy/Meiko wouldn't be that. Mandy can have average matches. She can't really have good matches. If Blair is in storyline number one contender and that matters that much to you, just have Meiko/Blair next week and have the winner face Mandy at Worlds Collide.

I don't normally watch NXT but I like the continuity with showing Dexter/Indi together and being arrested.
Curious to see where it goes next.

I think a lot of it could be more they want Blair in the match to be a fall girl to protect one of the other two. Likely Meiko who is insanely protected. Looking at Cagematch she's only been pinned once her entire run and that was a year and a half ago.

Last night, I was crapping all over Wendy Choo VS Tiffany Stratton & how Shawn Michaels is a horrible booker for booking the match as the main event. After NXT was over, I found out a Lights Out match is traditionally the final match of a show as it takes place after the lights are out in the arena, making it Non-Sanctioned. So, that's why it was the main event. So, I went back and re-watched the match on DVR and I take everything back. It was a fun match. Both Wendy & Tiffany gave their all & impressed me how well they can work a No DQ Match. I have to give them credit for taking all of those bumps, especially the LEGOs which are more painful than anything else & the bed. Therefore, this changes my opinion of NXT overall. It made me like the show though I wish most of the matches were longer. Again, so I would like to apologize to everyone. Once again, I over react without thinking.

Just saw this. Sorry if it's already been posted. That's crazy. She was born in late 1979 and the WCW Women's Division stopped being a thing in summer 1997 so she must have only been like 17 there.

What a great show.
Just non-stop segments, excellent writing, some matches didnt quite work, but I was entertained anyway.
After a few weeks of finding it a harder watch, tonight it came roaring back!
