This year's DTV movie Trick Or Treat Scooby Doo introduces Coco Diablo, the designer of all of the classic monster outfits. Turns out all the Scooby Doo villains of the classic run were part of the same crime syndicate

Why don't they ever do another Reluctant Werewolf or Boo Brothers movie instead?

They've been screwing with the Scooby lore for year. Screw Crystal Cove, I want Coolsville back.

Why don't they ever do another Reluctant Werewolf or Boo Brothers movie instead? Or Zombie Island. Or anything where the monsters are actual monsters. Curse of the 13th Ghost and Return to Zombie Island retconning both originals to fall into the "Person in a costume" trope was lame.

Nah, at this point, "the Scooby Gang faces real monsters" is as much of a overused trope as the "old grumpy person in a mask" cliché is.
(Nickelodeon's current Are you afraid of the dark reboot falls into the same trap, by dumping the very premise of the show - kids forming a Midnight Society to tell each other ghost stories around a firecamp - and make it a basic "bunch of kids face a supernatural threat" story)

I'd love to see a movie with the Scooby gang gathering up all the supernatural allies they've met over the years to face a great threat.
