Drew potentially at Castle. Lashley if they ever wanted to do that program. Gargano is back. Kross seems to be the next one. Rock is always rumored. Seth as a transitional champion. Someone from NXT 2.0.
With all these and more potential options in HHH's new world for the company. Do you still want the same game plan to be as everyone wanted the moment Cody came back.
Wins the Rumble and wins the titles at Wrestlemania 39. Do you still want CODY to be the man to end this title reign?
This means though the titles are once again bottlenecked until next April. Do you want someone to take the titles off Roman earlier or roll with it until April?

I think it'd be unfathomably stupid if Drew doesn't win at Clash at the Castle though really I'll take whatever ends this shitty reign and isn't Kross or Theory.

Cody’s not beating Roman for the belt… because he’s going to beat Rollins for it.

Cody’s not beating Roman for the belt… because he’s going to beat Rollins for it. Concept is fine. But will the crowds tire of this feud though? Do the people want to see Cody vs. Seth 4? Even if it's for the title. Is it a done feud though?

I think Rock is going to wrestle Roman at 39. So if Cody is beating Roman I think it’s at Day 1 in Atlanta.

The good thing is they have a lot of possibilities to go through with Drew and Seth being able to take down Roman. Cody/Roman doesn't need to be for the title or if anything you can always do it with Cody as champ and giving him solidifying against Roman
Assuming we get Rock/Reigns at Mania, we still probably won't see him and Cody until maybe Summerslam.
They need to split the belts back tho

As long as Cody is beating someone for the WWE title, not just/instead the Universal title, then it will be fine.
If Drew wins, nothing says Drew has to stay champion. Even if he only relatively briefly was champion again, it would still be a big deal.

Even if Roman loses at CATC I still think the ultimate endgame for the heel Tribal Chief character will be Wrestlemania. I don't think they kill off the big bad of the past 2 years for good at a September PPV even if it is a bigger than usual one. So either Roman beats Drew then drops the title to Cody at Wrestlemania or he loses to Drew, regains the title around the Rumble then drops it to Cody.
Rock is the wildcard of the whole thing. If they're able to do Rock/Roman they have to which will change everything else. If Rock has assured them he's doing the match I'd have Drew beat Roman, hold the title for a few months then lose it to Seth who loses it to Cody at Wrestlemania while Rock/Roman is the big non-title main event of one of the nights. I think it made sense a decade ago to give Rock a final WWE title reign but in 2023 he really doesn't need to be in a title match. The match will be massive without it. Roman wins, they shake hands then Roman takes some time off before returning as a babyface.

Cody has never been the end game for the Roman story.
Everything for the last two years that we've heard through news sites is that they want Roman/Rock.
Cody's likely going to return to win the Rumble, and I'd assume it will be Seth and the WWE title for him at 'Mania after we get the titles split again following some screwy stuff at CATC

Drew feels right now to me. WWE seems to be escalating the Roman/Sami stuff so that can occupy Roman after CATC.
I am absolutely in favour of Cody becoming WWE Champ at Mania but he doesn’t need to dethrone Roman. Let Drew have his moment in front of fans that he never got 2 years ago and title run in front of fans too. Drop the title to Roman or Seth at the Rumble and Cody wins at Mania.

Cody came off like a nice plan B. With HHH in charge though, who knows. I do like the idea of the Seth/Cody feud reaching its climactic finale over the title. And I wouldn’t mind Drew winning just to break up the monotony of Romans reign.

Drew should beat Roman at Clash, Drew should then vacate the wwe title since he’s never had a run with the universal title. Seth then wins the vacant wwe title as a face, loses it to Roman at the Rumble then Roman loses the wwe title to Cody at mania. Then Cody can lose the title to Seth

I don't watch anymore. Is Drew/Roman at the Cardiff show for both belts?

[/quote] And Rock will keep dangling that "1 more match" carrot to WWE as long as his daughter pursues a career in the business. But the guy is his own billion dollar franchise, there is no way someone who is risk adverse as he is now would risk an injury and all the financial loss that comes with it at WM.

I mean, it’s not out of the question, but given that they started the build for Rock/Cena well over a year in advance — at a time where Rocky was just a B-movie star instead of one the biggest box office draws in the world — I think if Rock/Roman was the plan for WM39, they’d have started building to it by now.

You don’t do a segment like the Bloodline beating the piss out of Drew for heat and etc. and then not have him beat Roman as payback.
