Plus Drew has his swagger back, dude is on fire, they need to capitalize on it. You don’t do a segment like the Bloodline beating the piss out of Drew for heat and etc. and then not have him beat Roman as payback. Yeah, but that wasn't the last TV show before the PPV. They taped another episode of Smackdown this past Friday that will air this coming Friday and I'll just leave it at that. I am genuinely at a loss for where they go with Roman from here. I think there are a few potential options for him at Mania: Night 1Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. The Uso's for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Titles in your main event IC Champ Gunther vs. WWE Universal Champ Drew McIntyre for the title in your semi-main (assuming Drew wins it at Clash) Night 2The Rock vs. Roman Reigns in your main event Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Title in your semi-main But I really wonder if 50-year-old Rock wants to work a singles match. This might seem kind of wild, but I think what could be a ton of fun is this huge six-man tag main event or special attraction semi-main event at Mania: The Rock, John Cena and Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso The Rock returns and he's bringing two guys that have been arguably embarrassed big time by the Bloodline and they want to settle the score at Mania. It kind of writes itself. The Reddit die-hard fan may not love it, but that might be the biggest "star power" type match you could have at a Mania in Hollywood.

IIRC, the angle of Triple H beating up Daniel Bryan before WM30 was two weeks before the show, and the go-home Raw had Bryan taking out Orton, Batista, and Trips.

I hear you, but that might very well be the only example of WWE subverting that trope in the last decade.

Giving the belt to Dwayne again would be so stupid but make a load of money

Giving the belt to Dwayne again would be so stupid but make a load of money I still think they could pull it off by having Roman challenge Rock because he's driven crazy by losing the belt. That feels effective.

I think Cody Rhodes is the ultimate endgame, or at least should be.
However, I think you could easily have a transitional from Reigns-to-McIntyre-back-to-Reigns in there, and probably should because it would freshen things up and it's not like Drew has to hold onto the championships for an extended period of time.

I think it all depends. There are just so many factors that could change things. For one we really don't know when Cody will be back. Hopefully no setbacks but even from Cody's own admission he made the injury worse by doing the match and his oec almost hemoraged when he went to surgery.
You also gotta remember that... wrestlers will get momentum and that could change plans even if Cody comes back sooner. Drew has his swagger back. Riddle is starting to get to a new level. KO is getting that swagger back. Any of those 3 or someone else could change things real quick
And of course a new booker could change that as well. Triple H may decide to strike the hot iron which would mean Cosy would have to regain that momentun

Cody isn't, nor has he ever been, the endgame.
And I don't know why people think he is.
It's always been The Rock.

If he hadn't gotten hurt, he'd have been champ by now. He's 100% who they're going to have dethrone Roman at WM.

Guess we got our answer. Might as well wait for Cody at this point

I don't think they're giving it to Cody. That'd make too much sense. If they can get the Rock feud at Mania then Rock will win it then Theory will cash in on Raw, if they can't then Roman will hold it for another year and then Rock will win it.

"Wrestling has more than one royal family"
It was teased since day one he returned.
Bloodline vs. Bloodline.
Once the Bloodline attacks and bloodies Goldust, we are set!

Honestly, I think if Tony knows that the endgame for Cody is a WrestleMania main event he might let Dustin play ball and show up on WWE TV. Dustin's basically a part-timer at this point anyway.

I get you're probably sad and just joking, but I really think that there's a plan for somebody new to beat Roman and they'll be a made man. Cody beating Roman is enough to do that. I don't think we'll get the typical misery booking when they're genuinely ready to pull the trigger.

I think he's going to end up being somebody that Drew beats to help him regain some of his luster, TBH. I really hope Karrion doesn't get a title shot.
