You see the videos surface all the time. Wild fights, mostly alcohol induced. Have you ever been caught up in one?
If so, did you have to stay for eye witness accounts? Or even worse, was something thrown at you mistakenly?

In NY we have tournaments as I’m sure most people know. There was a game in the Kingdom, when NBA and former AND 1 player Rafear Alston (AKA Skip 2 My Lou) came to play. Long story short his team lost and the fans started throwing bottles on the court and then you heard gun shots as well and everyone started running
Another one would be when during a Mets game I was at, some people started arguing and scrapping but it was a few rows in front of me and it was broken up before it could get crazy

A drink Yankees fan tried to fight me during the Orioles playoff game 7-8 years ago, even though I was just standing there.
I asked him if he wanted to spend the night in a Baltimore jail over nothing and he, even in his drunken state, put his fists down and walked away.

Been to many Rangers/Devils games since Prudential Center opened, but one preseason...again, I stress preseason game I got onto the escalator to get to the upper bowl of the arena and the two guys in front of me, one in a blue jersey and one in a red, just kind of froze, eyed one another dead-on seemingly out of nowhere, and started throwing hard fists. They eventually tumbled down onto the steps; I tried loudly shouting something to show my displeasure, but settled for just barreling past them and walking up the steps, because as soon as there was a heavy impact on the stairs the escalator froze. Needless to say, I just wanted the hell away from there. Thankfully haven't really seen anything like that at any other Rangers/Devils games, even when they played each other in the 2012 conference finals.
I nearly got suckered into one in 2008 when I went to a Mets game in Philly, though. Early April, rivalry was hot, I went in not realizing the full scope of the reputation Philly fans have and had people screaming obscenities at me for the crime of doing a simple "Let's Go Mets" and wearing a sweater with the logo. Then a group of guys walk by me and the girl I was seeing at the time and start railing at me, and fully exasperated (game hadn't even started yet, mind you) I said something under my breath they didn't like. One of the guys storms up, turns me around, starts poking and shoving me, and I instinctively backhanded him across the face...before immediately thinking "Oh, I'm a @#$%ing idiot", putting my head down and walking away. Dude shoved me from behind, but seemed to get the message that he was the loser in the equation and stopped trying to get more out of me after that, thank God.
I also remember that game as the one where Jose Reyes slid into second trying to steal it, made it safely, but knocked his head into Chase Utley's leg and didn't get up for a minute.
The crowd cheered. Loudly.
He got up and was alright.
The crowd booed. Loudly.
Hadn't experienced anything like that before, haven't gone back since.

I have been to a few Philadelphia Eagles games where there was arguing but no fight broke out.

Not exactly a brawl... but I was in a homecoming celebration in college that devolved into some police cars getting flipped and a stampede. At first the crowd was about 3-4 thousand people; everybody was having a great time until the very first sound of glass breaking. Then it morphed into a panic and about 5 minutes of chaos that was basically "a herd of cattle trying to escape" while about 100 people where the ones doing the real damage.
It was terrifying honestly. It went from drinking beer in the street and bellowing SWEET CAROLINE with a couple people stripping (pretty damn hawt not gonna lie) on top of local rock station's van to "oh shit gtfo RUN" in a heartbeat.
I hated it. I've hated crowds ever since. The speed of turning from sheer carefree joy to deathstampede really does haunt my dreams. Terrible feeling.

Not really I think I repeat this story of the weirdest rival fan thing that happened to me. Like 2015 I'm waiting outside Yankee Stadium to give my friend a ticket to the subway series game and head in. A Yankee Fan just not super like wanna fight agressive but still in my face yells "David Wright is gay" and I am like idk what you want me to do with that.

A buddy of mine wanted me to go to a nba game out of state with him to neighboring state. I politely declined because I had to work and couldn’t get out of it. That game turned out to be Pacers/Pistons Malice at the Palice. He sat on the opposite side of the melee and said it was easily the most r scared he’d ever been at a sporting event

I did at a MIDDLE SCHOOL football game. I was there to see my little cousin play. The parents of the starting QB got heated because he was pulled in the second quarter (to be fair, he was terrible), so they went ballistic. Other parents got involved and a big fight starts. They had to call the game and get most of the city's cops down there. The cops ran by my wife and I as we were walking out. Fun day!

Not a brawl per say but about 10 years ago I went to a Patriots game. The guy two rows in front of me started getting into it with a guy in the row behind me. Next thing you know he leaps over the seats and starts climbing up. I put my hands up to stop him but the people in front of me stopped him first.
One things had calmed down I went to get something to eat. When I came back I saw these same two guys now sitting together chatting as if they were lifelong friends.
Call me crazy but I think alcohol may have been involved here.
