That was only 5 months ago He's crumbled faster than Sammy somehow He believes it, only when it relates to him and his views lol Yeah, that seems like exactly the type of guy Punk sounds like.

Fightful Select Major Heat On CM Punk From Media Scrum, Rumors Of Threatened Walkouts CM Punk garnered an incredible amount of heat for his comments at the AEW All Out post-show scrum. For the record, Fightful originally reported the Punk-Cabana news this year, and we've never spoken to Kenny Omega or the Young Bucks outside of interviews. The story emerged from talent frustrated, and under the impression that Punk and Cabana's ill will towards one another cost the well-liked Cabana a job he was enjoying. Tony Khan denied that was the reason this past week. Cabana eventually got put on ROH duty. We're told that Cabana had indicated to Khan before Punk's original return that he'd likely not be happy working there if Punk was in the company. CM Punk garnered an incredible amount of heat for his comments at the AEW All Out post-show scrum. Punk ran down his history with Colt Cabana, and targeted Hangman Page and EVPs (Kenny Omega and Young Bucks). Punk said Hangman Page went into business for himself and almost compromised a huge AEW gate, and said the EVPs leaked info. Immediately after the scrum rant, talent had informed Fightful that Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks were extremely pissed off, and one claimed that they were threatening to walk over the comments. Fightful Select but had heard prior that at least one of the Young Bucks had been in contact with talent outside of AEW indicating that many of the rumors heard about Punk and the frustration around him were true. We're told The Elite were scheduled for the scrum, but an adjustment was made. Around then, security went around he scrum area in a hurry. We haven't learned if that was related to this situation, but all of this information filtered in at the same time. We're obviously cognizant of a work in this type of situation, but talent that were contacted were under the impression the situation was that of a real one. One way or another, we'll work to learn details and try to confirm. The heat between Punk and Cabana, as well as Punk towards Hangman Page have long been real. Regardless of the situation, Fightful Select has already heard of several talent that are very upset with his comments. We will also work to gain some stances from those who side with him on the matters. Tony Khan was at the AEW media scrum throughout the entirety of this situation. Could you imagine if The Elite still showed up on the scrum after that? Oh my god I feel like people would have been afraid to ask questions lol

ok if Tony chooses Punk over the Elite he's an idiot. Yea, I don't think he's that dumb Them boys can easily walk right back to NJPW or even WWE. Kenny said WWE was on the table before AEW became a thing and I have long believed he would got a bigger push than AJ Styles out the door Imagine the shit storm of your company if you let all your EVPs walk over to WWE

I’m sorry but I can’t help but feel this may be a work, only because I get incredible WCW vibes.
Oh god, did Tony Khan pull a Dixie and secretly hire Russo too?

And it's so baffling because Tony can't even really stick the landing on any of it? Dude gives Rosa tons of favoritism, lets her run the interim champion thing while she's injured--assuming the rumours she didn't want to put Toni over aren't true--but then goes and says she doesn't get promo time because she doesn't draw like CM Punk. Put out a big meeting telling people to behave and stop with the shots at one another, then sits there and lets Punk go off for a prolonged rant against half the company. What the hell is happening? That and Toni Storm's little dig at Thunder Rosa. Tony sat there in both instances (Punk's was admittedly worse because it involved more people) and did nothing during or after either, WTH!?.... Wait what'd Toni say?

There was always going to be a risk of adding so many people as they did in such a short amount of time, and this is the negative side of it. CM Punk does not let grudges go.

Guess I’ll be the only one on Punk’s side. I honestly agreed with a lot of things he said. He reached a boiling point. I get it. Literally he never spoke on this subject and had everyone else tell the story for nearly a decade. The moment he gives his side, everyone has a meltdown. He didn’t need to bury people as much as he did, but I get how it got where it did. Yeah but has colt ever spoke out publicly about that ever? Because it was the media reporting that and stoking the flames not Colt.
