Slight tangent but bear with me: It's funny how people are and were so against The Good Brothers coming back if they in fact did to AEW And I get why in ring wise or gimmick wise, though one thing I can say about the GB is it feels like no one backstage has a bad thing to say about them, especially Luke Gallows. Who on record, is one of the few people who can break Jon Moxley and make him laugh. Of course that's not to say AEW should hire them back or anything it's just a retrospective of who fans can loathe but can turn out to be good/decent peeps in the locker room compared to others, seems like Luke and Karl are good in that regard Come on cj, don't ruin such a happy thread by bringing up The Good Brothers.

And of course the f***ed up part about all of this is that if Tony tries to put his foot down, Punk is just gonna walk. He's not going to put MJF over, he's not going to drop the belt, he's going to throw a giant fit and storm out as if he hasn't received the world already. might be the best case scenario rn tbh. As crazy as that sounds. Oh it super is for the best, but holy shit. When he walked out of WWE, he was sore, he was demoralized, he was sick and not being treated properly, and he knew he wasn't going to be creatively fulfilled there. If he walks out of AEW, he does it as king of the world, pushed to the moon and given multiple shows built entirely around him as the draw, ousted in a cloud of paranoid hostility and a frankly humiliating public meltdown so blatant in how he was not asked about it that I doubt he even manages to get some urban legend misremembered defense in the years to come. This is just bad. This is aura-destroying. This is a man's worst side being bared for the world to see and tearing down everything he's spent years building up. If he walks out 'on top' over this then he is never going to have credibility again.

Yeah because MJF already beat him, twice, in Chicago.

Who are AEW's legit toughest guys? Mark Henry, Malaki Black, Miro, Ogogo, Keith Lee, Claudio, Hook and Hager are my picks to click. Hell, we've seen Punk fight; just about anyone is whipping his ass

I’m a 54 year old AWA/NWA previous lapsed pro wrestling fan who never liked WWE and became an instant fan of AEW at its birth. Going back to being a lapsed pro wrestling fan. It doesn’t matter if this is a work or shoot. It’s just stupid either way and I’m done. Congrats Tony Khan if this was your intent in driving home your AEW brand as being a bunch of unprofessional nut jobs running the asylum. My parting shot: CM Punk you are not this perfect person you think you are…cut the righteous Bull **** you prick. can't say i blame you, i love aew but if tony doesn't do something about this, f*** i'll probably just take up knitting again gonna be honest i might be done with weekly AEW anD WWE for awhile i’ll probably watch on Wednesday just to see what they do with MJF but teah the last 12 hours or so really soured me on things. also I’ve been having more fun watching indie wrestling lately anyway

It’s not that Tony doesn’t want to stand up to Punk or do anything about it (he tried a few times to no avail), but that he’s dealing with someone who holds grudges for years over the smallest slight against him and that one wrong move could get him an enemy for life. And this is a guy that, for all of Punks many faults, has been a draw for him. This is by far Tony’s toughest challenge to date when it comes to AEW.

Took a break from Raw & SDL besides few peeks and was better for it.

Can you imagine what the books written about this will be like one day? Well, good news! We don’t have to. The joys of social media.

Gonna be 40 soon and somehow the backstage drama in wrestling is getting worse than when I was a teenager. Between the never ending Roman Reigns downer-fest, Impact still being Impact when it comes to their talent dealings and all the dumb bullshit in AEW the last few months, I'm pretty much done with wrestling again.

At the end of the day CM Punk will get boos then the audience will mark out that they’re booing him and then all of a sudden just start cheering him because they’re booing him.
Does this logic make sense? No.
Does it make as much sense as whatever the he’ll is actually going on? Yes.
