RE: Chicken Sandwich talk. I tried Popeye's chicken Sandwich a couple years ago after the hype died down a tad. It was basically like eating a piece of their chicken minus the bones. Decent Sandwich, but nowhere warranting the mass hysteria it produced. I low key think Burger King's chicken sandwiches are the best in fast food. The "Ch'king" had a stupid name, and that pretty much killed it, but that was a good sammich. The Royal isn't quite as good, but still a worthy successor. Popeyes owns Burger King..it's literally the same chicken.

The chicken itself is probably the same, but the sandwiches are breaded differently and don't taste the exact same to me.

As a vegetarian, I feel slighted at being unable to participate in the fast food chicken convo. I'm angrily calling you all out in the next media scrum.
I'd bite you all too, but I'm only allowed to eat vegan human flesh substitutes.

I'd bite you all too, but I'm only allowed to eat vegan human flesh substitutes. Bean sprouts, chili, butter, garlic. That is amazing. Or mushrooms, soy sauce, garlic, chili. You can't go wrong with garlic, unless it's too little garlic. If I'm cooking and use garlic, one whole bulb is the minimum. Smash all that on a mortar and pestle, no chopping required.

So uhh, not sure how hot of a take this will! be but here goes. I don't think Five Guys are worth the high prices. Amazing shakes, though. Not a fan of Five Guys’ peanut oil myself, allergies. I mainly get my shake cravings from Steak ‘n shake anyway.

No SmashBurger here, but I read about the idea and made some myself. So good. Cliche as it seems, ate it with rice and it's still good. Salt, pepper, ground beef and the right amount of fat for the salt and pepper.
All I need is salt and meat, plus a ton of rice. Maybe cheese. veg, or extra seasonings. All those just extras, really.

And, lot of milk tea places here. So many choices, coffee, tea, shake drinks.
Very best for me is a shake of yakult with lychee and instead of boba it's nata de coco. Sweet, refreshing, and chilling.
And milk makes my gut uneasy, I can pour a ton of milk on my ground coffee, no mixing, but at past that point I don't know much else. Cheese and yogurt, sure and dishes here using milk. Never had a milkshake, unless floats count which can also make my gut yell at me.

Went quite a bit when I was in Ohio, and at one point they had this Caramel Apple one that was the best milkshake I've ever had.

I'm partial to CookOut as the "cheap place to go after a night out drinking" spot, myself. Definitely a regional thing, though.
Can't beat a burger, side of hush puppies, side of a whole ass chicken quesadilla, and a shake for like $7.

Any Shake Shack thoughts? There is one on that other side of downtown, but I rarely go to that side of town.

My physical therapist is originally from the Philippines and it's interesting hearing about how much better/different KFC is over there compared to here. Like, much higher quality overall. No lie, born and live here, I'd say quality has gone down. Starters, original flavor chicken is never crispy. I like the gravy better than Jolibee, but nowadays they don't give you it unlimited. Gone are tbe days when you drown the rice in it. And the Zinger. Was a good chicken sandwich. Spicy, had enough mayo to balance the taste. Mentioned it before, but the bun they use now is so damn stale. Can buy a stack of sliced bread on a 711 and improve the texture.
