Punk looks good. As much as I don't particularly care about seeing him in AEW again after all of this, I do hope he's able to find some peace and enjoyment elsewhere. I feel like CM Punk and Aaron Rodgers are simultaneously transforming into each other... Dude after week 1 a ton of people on twitter had that clip of Punk going "I'm old, I'm injured, I'm tired and I work with f***in children" saying "Aaron Rodgers after this game" |

The crazy thing is these guys got suspended and everyone is wishing for a heroes return. It's like throwing a party for a dude who got a slap on the wrist and released from jail.

One of AEW's big hero welcomes will be for a guy who got bitten for helping a disfigured dog, a guy who got a folding chair thrown into his face and his brother, while a lawyer stood on the apron. And the only person living long enough to have witnessed it all was Matt Hardy. Reality is such a weird thing. :/ |

Yes it's the Elite's fault that they were attacked with a chair and bit after the person who attacked them said if anyone had a problem to come and see them. And it's especially the Elite's fault since they brought along the head of talent and the head of legal with them, and the man still went crazy and attacked them with both heads of different departments in attendance. Yeah, totally self inflicted by the Elite. There isn't a big enough eyeroll I can physically muster to express my reaction to hearing that this was "self inflicted" by the Elite. |

Maybe it's just me, but I'd say whatever part the Elite had to pay in it was balanced out by having the trios titles stripped from them and being suspended for as long they have.
Punk, on the other hand, said everything he said at the scrum and by all accounts, threw the first (and possibly only) punches. Plus, if all reports and passive-aggressive tweets/likes are to be believed, he isn't being welcomed back by the locker room.
So yeah. I am more excited to see the Elite back than Punk.

It wouldn't have happened that same night if Punk was a mature adult who didn't get into fights with coworkers in front of the heads of talent and legal. Unfortunately, Punk isn't. |
