How childish can they get? They just keep giving me more reason not to watch AEW at all anymore. You already don't watch if your posting history is anything to go by.

I would say this was to be expected How childish can they get? They just keep giving me more reason not to watch AEW at all anymore. Not childish enough for my money - I'd have come out to 'Do you know the Muffin Man?' in their position.

The pettiness for me surrounds the fact that they are bosses with their names in the freakin company title and it sets a precedent that as long as you are Elite guys you are fine. At least from my perspective. Instead of being the bigger men, it's a situation of getting the last laugh. Adam Page has been the most grown-up about all of this and he helped to start it.

Hangman also didn’t experience what The Elite allegedly experienced. I get what you’re saying, but all things (allegedly) considered, this is reserved.

I also think it needs to be said that The Elite were not "fine" in this situation, they got verbally assaulted, physically assaulted, and then were off TV for months The only reason they're "Fine" at all is because CM Punk was the aggressor at every step and he literally invited them to speak to him at any time, they did, and he once again, was the aggressor, and then tried to smear them after the fact It's one thing to say the Elite aren't totally innocent, they aren't, I feel it's another to loathe them because they still have a job in AEW when with all the information presented, nothing laid out to me states that they should have been fired, and were punished to an extent that I think is pretty damn fair, and weren't shielded because they were EVP's, it's because in the situation presented, CM Punk made the situation one where I don't think it mattered who was in the situation, Punk was coming out the loser.

Like dude a this point there is nothing to say ,you think it's petty to dislike someone that legit assaulted you. You are clearly never going to watch it and gonna come with more reason to dislike the Elite. If someone publicly ran me down and attacked me, and the worst I did was leave other peoples' chant in my internet show, that'd be me showing the patience and restraint of a goddamn saint,

If the pettiest that the Elite get is drawing attention to a crowd chant that they didn't start, lead, or influence, and was a chant that was already very loudly heard on PPV to the point the commentators commented on it, then IMO, that's nothing.

I think it's pretty funny actually all things considered and this is the bottom of their totem pole of petty but I knew they wouldn't get by with accepting that they got an unwarranted (fully just my opinion) heroes return and would need to turn the knife a little.

So them acknowledging that they got a heroes return is what you consider "petty"?? No, the fact that they got a heroes return is what you don't like. And you are trying to twist that fact into somehow the Elite are "petty" because they acknowledged it.

No the fact that they are the bosses and acting like children makes them petty...The fact that they couldn't just accept that they got that and needed more to validate themselves also makes it petty...Doesn't have to twist to be both

I saw that LOL...Pretty fitting considering some of the responses on Twitter that do actually feel like Punk was goaded into this. He went into that scrum looking for a fight and eventually found one.

A chill ran down my spine as I suddenly imagined the segment of the Punk fanbase becoming wrestling's Snyder Cut equivalent

Punk’s actions were a full blown coup attempt that slapped AEW in the face after they rolled out the red white and blue Pepsi carpet for him. Cody just exited a fan and creative environment he wasn’t satisfied with. To me that’s way more innocuous. Plus I’m convinced it was that very reception he got in WWE that stoked his performance fire earlier this year. They explained they meant the on screen presentation. Cody doing all this stuff that looked like he was teasing a heel turn for like a year, is very similar to how Punk's actions on the screen looked like the facade was dropping and he was going to go back to being the shitbag heel which he excels at. when no... there wasn't any underlying heel turn coming.. I'd say he did turn heel just not in kayfabe

So, these are my opinions.
The CM Punk media scrum was a complete shit show
Tony Khan should have managed that scrum better
The entire fight was ridiculous, all were rightly suspended
The EVPs of the company should not be promoting chants like that
Phil (or more likely his lawyer) will now be rubbing his hands together
