OK, I'm tired and upset and just want to get this out there and then hopefully not dwell on it anymore.

But Punk is such a f***ing dickhead.

There's two sides to every story; and Punk has now got to go up in front of the world as AEW champion and give disgustingly personal snipes at Colt and other members of the locker room. The bank account stuff, the making money stuff, the emails, the EVP sniping shit; really gross shit that any mature adult could keep to themselves.

So Hangman said something vague about it in a promo; so f***ing what, dude? Guess what, Colt got to tell HIS SIDE of the story to Hangman. Just cause its not out in front of the world doesn't make it less valid than Punk's side.

And Punk has the audacity to call Hangman 'empty headed'? Nah, f*** outta here with that, you old, emotionally broken piece of shit. Who made you arbiter of all this?

Man, I'm getting more worked up about this than I need to; I just hate Punk getting to say all this crap without the people he's savaging present. Oh, he'll say that it was done to him first, but man, he's played the victim card so many times over the years that that kind of shit coming from him is just so hollow.

And yes, I'm very aware that at any moment its going to zoom out from me at my laptop to Raven, turning to face the camera and exclaim 'what a mark!' It's still real to me, damn it

Russo’s peak work shoot angle (Goldberg/Nash) lasted around a month. We’re now at over 3 months (since MJF DoN drama) of this company being completely overshadowed by this kind of stuff with no signs of it slowing down. It’s exhausting.

Either it’s a work and they’re making the company look bad on purpose or it’s real and TK is so infatuated with Punk on a 90s Hogan/Bischoff or HBK/Vince level he’s willing to let him get away with anything even if it’s destroying morale for everyone else.

One thing I did take away from this debacle is that one-sided reporting from the dirt sheets really does more harm than good as Punk singled out both Meltzer and Alvarez during the media scrum.

Personally, I've always been of the frame of mind that their "sources" within every company is only feeding them information that benefits the source themselves or individuals in their circle and it appears that Punk took particular exception to the "rumor" that he got Colt Cabana fired from AEW, or reassigned to ROH.

So, let's say if it was the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega or someone close to them in general that told Dave and Bryan that was what happened, and Punk had nothing to do with Cabana's situation with All Elite Wrestling... I can actually understand why CM Punk took umbrage with the journalistic integrity of wrestling journalism.

How he went about it, and in the process burying the executive vice presidents in front of a dumbfounded owner of the company was completely unprofessional, but it's a stark reminder why I never go out of my way to read behind-the-scenes rumors and gossip reported on by wrestling news sites because you're only getting one side of the story, and it's typically the side the individuals leaking it to the site wants told.

Alvarez said that that was one side of the story but also noted there was another side that Punk was defending himself. But Punk singled him out regardless cuz Phil’s gonna Phil.

When Owens was a rookie in ROH Punk chewed him out in front of the locker room for wrestling in a shirt, saying he looked terrible and it was unprofessional.

So not only did Owens do the two things Punk always dreamed of, main eventing Wrestlemania and getting Austin out of retirement for a match, he did so while wearing a shirt.
