One of the issues with having the wrestling business so exposed through media is the either purposeful or incidental attention and coverage that comes from the shoot/worked-shoot stuff. So many in the industry feed off this shit, and while I admit it is interesting, it does not make me want to watch the shows. Further, in this instance, a work or not, Tony comes off like an absolute chump.
I sincerely hope wrestling eventually starts to come around to a more distinct line between shoot and kayfabe.

it just sucks that i went into this show ready for heel punk and face mjf in a giant program leading to double or nothing with a big coronation of mjf as ultimate aew defender, and blood and guts being the elite and mjf vs punk's crew...
..now i want punk to drop the belt and go away. like, i knew he was dick and an asshole.. but like the way he just steamrolled over every attempt tk made at getting some order, and just shitting over the entire company. and its not the first time he's done that. i remember him making it clear during a post show scrum "i will never be working on elevation or dark because they are beneath me".. which i believe was still around the time when tk was really pushing elevation as show really worth watching.
i'm over it, man. he was my favorite and when he came back in 2013, i was sour on him for being bland and overly shooty... and was sooo so f***ing pumped for him to come back. and he does this. nah man. bye. go away.

Before watching the while video I figured 80%-85% of this was a shoot and the rest a work. Now after seeing the video I thinks it's 80%-85% a work. Especially with everything having to do vith Page and the EVP's. I think there is hostility there but they're turning it into a story line now which is even more ridiculous to me. Kahn not saying anything at all while sitting beside him ? I know Tony has no balls but even he would of stopped that before it went on that long, wouldn't he ?
I could be totally wrong on this and I'm not one of those guys who thinks everything is a work. But this time,I think it is.

It's a super common arrangement to have, especially if the parent is getting on in years.

Punk going out of his way to demonize people he doesn't like in the worst ways, all the whole licking his fingers. That just shows you how casual this behavior is to him. Why should TK’s money prevent me from sympathizing with him? See, I can't really sympathize with him, since he should definitely not allow for this to happen in the first place. If he is incapable of managing his employees, then he should hire someone who can, because at this point Tony is the boss and needs to step up and act like it. If he can't do that, then he shouldn't be running a business. If I sympathize with anyone, it would be the workers who don't have the same platform or flex to do what CM Punk just did, without fear of reprisal. Punk is still the jerk here, but Tony is complacent in not stepping up. |
