AEW Talent Meeting Being Held Today AEW has a talent meeting. After Wrestling Observer reported that AEW Champion CM Punk was in Chicago, and not in Buffalo, it was also revealed that he and Ace Steel would have a zoom call with officials at 4 PM EST. That isn't the only meeting however. We're told that an AEW talent meeting was set to take place at 4:15 PM EST, with talent, referees, coaches and announcers. Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley were set to lead the meeting. Chris Jericho had been complimented by several on the AEW roster about his demeanor and resolve as the Elite/CM Punk situation unfolded. Wrestling Observer also confirmed Fightful Select's report of a CM Punk injury, and added that he needs surgery, and that the title situation would be resolved. The Wrestling News' Brian Last reported yesterday that suspensions all around would be coming. Fightful Select will work to learn more details of the meetings. per Frightful So there's a talent meeting, being led by the wrestlers, with the boss not present. To keep scrums under control next time, they should have Arn Anderson at the table during the whole duration. His glock will be placed in plain view on the table just in case someone gets any funny ideas. I'm just imagining it being a big honking Glock 41 for extra emphasis. |

Tony would honestly be better off doing a pre record, whenever he talks in front of a live crowd he comes across terribly. Remember when AEW was founded, and Tony was adamant that he wouldn't be all over the product? Pepperidge Farms remembers. He's legit spoke on camera for Dynamite 3 times. To announce the New Japan Deal, to announce buying ROH, and for Brodie's Memorial Show (and he appeared once on Elevation). He only speaks on camera for important issues and this falls into that. I know this situation is easy to dunk on Tony, but him speaking about the titles because of this issue isn't one I'd dunk on him for |

I know this situation is easy to dunk on Tony, but him speaking about the titles because of this issue isn't one I'd dunk on him for Yeah and given this is an issue that revolves around his world title, new Trios titles, and a lot of the upper card of the company... he should speak on it. He's not making himself a part of a storyline, it's just something the owner should address. |

There's also other management people who can deal with the way less insane and intense talent meeting, while Tony does with the man who has thrown his company into disarray and his friend do bit a guy. |
