Yeah, it's honestly why I think Best Friends and Orange didn't get it. The Elite coming back to beat them would have annoyed people, but Death Triangle can and should take that loss.

I’d probably have House of Black win the trios and then do some big beatdown on Death Triangle (after PAC walks away and abandons his team for refusing to use his beloved hammer) then have the Elite come out for the save and the big pop.

So PWInsider put up a long rambling screed about how the investigation was a total farce, that's pretty clearly coming from a place of being inclined to actively take Punk's side regardless, and naturally a lot of people are rushing to point to it as a reason why the Elite are in the wrong.
