You mean proper channels like...his bosses ,head of relation and head of legal? Yes. I mean Tony khan in the main. I think the bucks and omega had every right to go to Tony khan and ask what he intended to do to punk after his rant at the press scrum. I’ve no idea what they were thinking then going to confront punk was going to achieve. I know that if I have issue in work I don’t don’t confront the person, I go to my line manager and put on record my issues. Where do you work?

At worst all you can say that the Elite did wrong in this case was poor timing.
In hindsight should they have waited until Wednesday? Probably yes. Give everybody a chance to cool off so they could discuss this with cooler heads. But they could not have expected, nor would they have had any reason to expect that CM Punk was going to attack them. Any accusations of wrongdoing against The Elite beyond poor timing is just grasping at straws.

Can’t wait to hear Phil plug Blue Chew. "BLUE CHEW, which all you idiots out there probably need, but I don't, because I HAVE AN EIGHTEEN FOOT LONG PENIS, ASK APRIL, SHE'LL TELL YOU, and while I'm at it, F*** Colt Cabana, and ESPECIALLY F*** Hangman Page! Maybe you morons could do that if you had some Blue Chew, so I don't have to be the one doing everything around here! I've got a podcast to run!" that reminded me of when Vince wanted Kane's character in See No Evil to have a ridiculously long dick for some reason

Look, Phil has 2.5 million plus followers on Twitter. Letting it wait until Dynamite ain't going to happen when he can spend 2 whole days with his paranoid muffin-rants going viral all over the internet.

In hindsight, the Elite shouldn't have gone to see Punk that night. In hindsight, Punk should never have been allowed to do that media scrum when he had an axe to grind either.
But at the time, I don't think either decision was wrong. The Elite took legal with them (and possibly a road agent or two) and as the newly crowned champ, Punk was a must for the scrum.
Nobody could have predicted that the media scrum would have kicked off like that and nobody could have predicted punches being thrown, a chair being thrown, and Ace Steel eating Kenny.
I do think that Khan should have shut down Punk during that scrum and ensured someone talked to him immediately after though. That was a failing. Khan just looked completely shell-shocked and railroaded by the whole thing though. I doubt he could have remember his name at points during Punk's ranting.

The one time Tony DOES try to say something, Punk just cuts him off and stomps all over that. I think Tony was just completely out of it from that point on.

Punk is a force of nature. Tony wasn't prepared for that.

How do you know that she wasn't interviewed because she might add details that were negative of the EVPs? You have no proof of that whatsoever. What about if she would've added details that were positive of the EVPs? Would you still be saying then that she should've been interviewed?Yes I would be because the goal should've been to collect as much info from as many perspectives as possible. She easily could’ve given info that backed up the EVPs but the reporting is she wasn’t even interviewed which I find bizarre. I just find this whole business depressing as yes CM Punk dug his own grave by ranting like a nutcase to the press. What disappointed me more, because punk being a dickhead isn’t news, was Tony Khan sitting there and not pulling punk up on his rant, which as owner I feel he had EVERY justification to do IMO and didn’t. And then the EVPs who I’ve said previously had a right to be pissed at what punk said, but muddied the waters by going to confront him when they did. They are EVPs of a major wrestling company and should be held to a higher standard, and should’ve gone through the proper channels so they didn’t give punk a reason to play the victim. You are aware that the EVPs did indeed go through the proper channels right? They went to go see Punk with the head of legal and the head of talent. This has been a fact from the start. And why didn't the EVPs have a right to confront him for what Punk said? Punk said himself that "if you have a problem, go see him". The EVPs did that with the proper channels literally right next to them. I don't understand why Punk defenders/Elite haters continue to make the claim that this is the Elite's fault when Punk himself said for anyone to come see him if they had a problem. It's extreme cognitive dissonance pure and simple.

Good news to people who think that The Elite were mega in the wrong for going into that room: they got punished! They've been off television for two months! They got stripped of their titles! They were suspended indefinitely and put into limbo over what happened! Feel like people get weird about overlooking this part to act like Tony "chose" them in firing Ace and wanting to buy out Punk's contract, as if they didn't assault their bosses and Punk didn't go on an unhinged rant to make the company look bad. But that's not Punk being given back his spot and The Elite fired for daring to stand up against him so somehow that's still not enough and we've got to act like "went to his locker room when he told them to come talk to him" is worse than "committed assault"

What did Punk do back in the day for so many people to be THIS loyal to him? I mean, f***, I was a fan too, even bought his damn t-shirt in 2011 when he was on his massive run. But I was never so f***ing enamoured with the guy to the point where all common sense goes out the window. Shit, was WWE and TNA in 2003 so bad that these people owe such a debt to Punk for being the one plant in the pot of dirt? (Actually, I'm watching 2003 WWE right now, it's pretty grim )

(Actually, I'm watching 2003 WWE right now, it's pretty grim ) It's a combination of Punk fanatics defending him with every ounce of their being, but more so people who hate the Elite seeing Punk as a martyr and therefore defending Punk with every ounce of their being as well. It's two separate groups of fanatics joining together to make a super fanatic group.

I have the theory that people are attached to CM Punk because they learned of Cult of Personality through him while I am not because I learned of it from the Guitar Hero 3 soundtrack.

And also lets face it, another 2 months without wrestling is incredibly good news for Kenny Omega, as (and I don't know how much was kayfabe) he did look pretty beat up on his return.

Where is the two months news from? Not news, just the actual passage of time of which Omega and the Young Bucks have been off of TV because of this.
