It's interesting that Raw has gotten a massive boost since HHH took charge and are doing their best numbers in 2-3 years while Smackdown is doing basically what they always do. To be fair Smackdown was pre-empted in a lot of markets for football for 3-4 weeks in a row there which affected them but this week I don't think there were any pre-emptions and Raw still beat them handily .58 to .49.
On paper it should be almost impossible for Raw to beat Smackdown. Smackdown is available in way more homes, it actually features the champion and it's been treated as the A show since 2019. It also doesn't have the third hour dragging its average down. If Raw was 2 hours it would be beating Smackdown by even more right now.
With MNF coming back Raw will go down but they seem to be in a way better place to combat it than they were last year.

I think part of the problem is that Smackdown is so incredibly stale at the moment. The women's title scene just exists, and midcard feuds get very little time. All because of The Bloodline stuff suffocating pretty much everything else.

Raw's on a great run at the moment, and it feels like several storylines and feuds have good momentum. It's also interesting that these recent episodes have heavily featured the Judgement Day/Mysterios and Edge storyline, which has also been doing strong numbers on YouTube.

Damage CTRL has also been a featured act which is another case of certain smark corners (Reddit being the prime example here) not knowing how popular something is. They have been incredibly negative and pissy about every single aspect of the group, even though its getting over with fans.
